Germany’s most famous and spectacular vaudeville theater “Wintergarten Berlin” at night in the 1930s
Pictured is its original location at the “Hotel Central” on the corner of Friedrichstrasse and Dorotheenstrasse in Berlin-Mitte. Sadly, it was destroyed in an air raid on Berlin in June 1944 and finally, successfully reopened in 1992 at its current location in the western part of the city, not far away from Potsdamer Platz and Brandenburger Tor ... something both locations have in common.
