Oh, Winter Comes

She swallowed thickly, putting her hands up as she approached the man. "I'm not... I'm not HYDRA" she said gently, swallowing thickly and watching him with wide eyes.

She kept her hands up. "Ich kann Deutsch sprechen. Deutsch ist für Sie einfacher zu verstehen? [I can speak German. Is German easier for you to understand?]" she offered, not meeting his eyes fully.

Decker had seen Winter Soldier in the Hydra labs. He wasn't allowed to speak to the man or even look at him so when he saw him at the mouth of the alleyway, he swallowed, trying to remain where he was, crouched by the dumpster he'd been tossing over to try and find food. Please let him not have seen me Decker thought. He'd been a prisoner himself and while he would gladly stand back and let Winter Soldier avenge himself, he didn't want to be near the fallout when it actually happened.
