Imagine Steve having to ask Bucky to pick a side during Civil War. Bonus for making them talk as to why he needs to pick a side. Extra bonus if there's anger and love involved.
“This is the stupidest thing you’ve ever done, Rogers, and I told you before you can’t do it for me,” Bucky says, exasperated.
“I gotta,” Steve replies, jaw set stubbornly. “They’ll send you to jail soon as they get the power to do so, and this gives them that power.”
Bucky rolls his eyes. “I still think it’s stupid,” he says. “But you know I’m always on your side.”
I'm looking for a specific Sub!Bucky fic, I think it's writen by OhCaptainMyCaptain? I had the link once, but can't find it anymore.
It could be either After Hours or S is for Steve Rogers is a Little Shit
I’m fine, lab’s fine, coffee’s fine. I’ve certainly been a hell of a lot worse, nothing to complain about here.
I was wondering. Is there anything with Bucky being blind and needing help to get around?
These are what I’ve got for you:
Among the Lilies (bucky is fully blind but does absolutely not need help getting around)
Sometimes he thought only the blind could see farther than the nose on their face.
Awakenings (he has to wear a blindfold around steve and thus needs some help)
Bucky says, “Do you know, after you leave – every time you leave, after the doctors have taken my mask off, I walk around this place and try to find everywhere you’ve been. Was your hand on the toaster? Did you lean against the doorway? Where were you on the couch? I haven’t seen your face in seventy-five years, not really.”
Thank you for that post about Star Wars. I'm a child of the original trilogy, grew up with them and loved them ever since. But I also absolutely love TFA because it's a masterpiece of a comeback movie for the series and I've gotten so much hate for that on the internet. It's insane.
As a fan of the prequels, who was a teenage girl feeling SHAMED for loving something everyone else seemed to think was terrible, I know first hand what it’s like to have people hate on you or question your judgement. So I wanted people to know it’s okay to like whatever the hell you want in the franchise. Even if it’s the latest movie. Even if the latest movie is the only Star Wars you’ve seen up to this point and it’s what’s gotten you to become a Star Wars fan. There is no wrong way to fangirl or fanboy over Star Wars, as long as you are respectful and aren’t offensive pricks.
Me, but from a universe where I make 90% less stupid decisions.
Are there any mystical Stucky fics? Like dark ages mystical or modern mystical?
These are the fics most deeply rooted in mysticism, religious and otherwise, that I know of:
Postcards from Golgotha
They say that once you give your heart away, it’s never really yours again. Oh, you can take it back if you want, of course. You can try to reclaim it. But once it’s beat in your lover’s chest and his blood has flowed through it, it can never truly belong to you again, now, can it.
Or,
A story about Bucky Barnes’s heart.
Silent thunder, as of a thousand wings
Bucky knows that he loves Steve, and he loves his taskmaster of a boss even as he gripes about him over beers after work, and he loves the dames with their red, red lips and smooth, soft curves (and he loves the guys, loves their strength and the tall, proud lines of them), and he loves old Mrs. Greene even when her rheumatism acts up and she turns mean as a wet cat. But he loves Steve most of all, and if Bucky is shackled to mindless obedience because of it, he calls it a good trade, because Steven Grant Rogers is the best person he knows. When it comes down to it, he figures his desire only adds a new dimension to a love that was already there, glowing hot enough to burn.He was sent to Earth in a cage of mortal flesh to watch over Steve, and Bucky can do no less than love him with all his heart.
The Tower
Peggy Carter recruits Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes to fight against Baron Zemo, a man who desires the powers of the entity that has taken a liking to Steve Rogers. The Howling Commandos search Europe for artifacts with the mission to retrieve them before Zemo's Secret Empire can, but the Baron is ruthless and patient, willing to play the long game.As the world explodes into a war seeped in occult forces and lead by madmen, Bucky has to admit for his own peace of mind that he's always loved Steve Rogers and would follow him into any kind of war, no matter how strange.
theres also our medival fantasy post, our magical realism post, fairy tales post and monsters post. they tend to have mystical elements even if it does not feature heavily.
