now im thinking about duke bc he is kept on the periphery of the story by force. he travels constantly, lives on a boat outside of town, and was gone from haven for an indeterminate amount of time as a teen. he is kept outside the story by being the only criminal in a sea of cops and detectives and other law-abiding folk. he is not welcome in the police station, where most of the action happens, his family and love interest and wife are all guest appearances, resulting in a character living on the edge of society with his entire life unravelling in side plots. he is trusted and relied upon but very rarely prioritized, and a lot of that is because duke’s entire storyline is too late. he misses his chance with audrey, he cant save evie or jennifer. even his romance with mara rings like a last-ditch effort to find a home in haven when there is nothing left

i cannot BELIEVE that i decided to finish...

i know i really wanted more of dick and babs!!! and TIM!!!! wait maybe what i really need is a batfam animated series…..js……….

@wintersoldieringg y’know maybe that’s why i’m bitter, because i barely care about anyone that isn’t the batfam and just want all the drama in the show to revolve around them 

tim should have had a much bigger part this season... he was kind of furniture. wonderful, brilliant, adorable furniture, but furniture. babs was in it for like .003 seconds. and then there were the two scenes where tim just like, stares sadly at the memorial hologram of jason, and then there’s dick telling tim ‘just don’t die, ok?’ and it’s like... Y’ALL HAD BETTER GIVE ME THIS BATFAM DRAMA

but for real, why isn’t there a batfam animated series? that shit would kill.
