AT AIR! Here are some pics taken in London during the Banner Saga recording session. Imagine to avoid making noises with the water, brushes, paint, canvas, chair, etc, while painting. Trying to not screw it up was definitely The Challenge! VORTEX

"A spiral of sudden ideas between music and painting."

Originally, VORTEX started as a little game, an exercise to keep creativity afloat. Austin was in charge of sending pieces he composed in a short span of time and my part was to create quick sketches inspired on each song and vice versa.

Not long ago, I had the idea to transform these simple sketches into real paintings and show them to the public, but a simple exhibition was not exactly what I was looking for...

Some time later I came up with the idea of ​​placing music players and headphones next to each painting, so the visitors could live the entire experience, something that really gave an unequaled twist to this exhibition.

It turned out to be an unforgettable night for all those who were there, a simple idea became one of the best nights of my life.

A thousand thanks to Austin for being a great source of inspiration to all these people, for creating and touching hearts with such a beautiful work. I hope this was as great of a experience for him, as it was for me.

VORTEX “Una espiral de ideas súbitas entre la música y la pintura.”

Originalmente, VORTEX comenzó como una dinámica, un ejercicio para mantener la creatividad a flote. Austin se encargaba de enviarme piezas que componía en un lapso corto de tiempo y yo me inspiraba para crear bocetos basados en cada una de las canciones y viceversa.

No hace mucho tuve la idea de transformar esos bocetos en pinturas reales para mostrarlas al público, pero una simple exhibición no era exactamente lo que estaba buscando. Tiempo después tuve la idea de ubicar en cada una de las pinturas, reproductores y audífonos para que los visitantes pudieran vivir la experiencia completa, algo que realmente le dio un giro sin igual a ésta exhibición.

Resultó ser una noche inolvidable para todos los que estuvimos ahí, una simple idea se volvió en una de las mejores noches de mi vida.

Mil gracias a Austin por ser una gran fuente de inspiración para todas éstas personas, por crear y tocar corazones con tan hermoso trabajo. Espero que ésta haya sido una gran experiencia para él, como lo fue para mí.

An epic collaboration of two famed music artists to compose a soundtrack for a Heist related videogame called Monaco: What Yours is Mine. This soundtrack is my personal favourite. The composers are Austin Wintory and Laura Intravia.
