Theory: the wizards, when they escape the Solarian prison in the season seven comics, really do try and get revenge on the Winx. But they’re unfortunately unaware that, in the time they were gone, Bloom shared the supreme force of creation with each of them, so they’d be facing six fairies with the Dragon Flame, whilst still weakened. So…the revenge started to look less and less achievable, and less desirable when they thought more and more about the idea of winding up back in Omega. And since it’d been years since they’d posed a threat, and they weren’t that well-known in the Magic Dimension, the hunt for them died down pretty quickly, and everyone forgot about them altogether when Valtor came back. So they’d had two options: work on regaining power, hunt the Winx and take their revenge, then probably get arrested by some other group of heroes and thrown back in Omega, or just…roll with this. So, they rolled with it. We never see them again because they swallowed their pride and just dropped off the radar and lived their lives. The Winx are fighting Valtor in season eight, and the wizards are just chilling, working jobs they could get without giving themselves away. Maybe on Lynphea, since there wouldn’t be any surveillance. Ogron still keeps tabs on the Winx through the news, and sits and watches footage of their fights, cheering on their enemies, then sulks when the Winx win. Anagan has confiscated his phone to put a stop to it because he thinks it’s a bit unhealthy. Maybe the Winx find them there one day, maybe they don’t. Maybe I pretend I don’t have wips banging on my door and write a little one-shot.

I have to give Fate Winx a lot of brownie points for letting their hero tell us that the reason she wants to believe her birth and abandonment is surrounded by a huge conspiracy is because otherwise, it would mean her parents gave her up. And she does not want this, period. This kind of honesty is refreshing. We all know Bloom has some Great and Tragic Hero Backstory, but Bloom doesn't. Yet it doesn't stop her from wanting the Great and Tragic Hero Backstory.

Peculiar Fairy Powers

So we all know that there are minor fairies that are eternally studying at Alfea, right? Well, some of these fairies have some of the strangest powers I’ve ever heard of. Now, I understand some of these powers can be simply poetic such as Aisha’s power over waves while it’s simply water in reality, but in the Winx Club series magic takes a much more flexible configuration. Here’s a list I compiled of what I think are the four most peculiar powers in the Winxiverse:

Power of Trees - This power honestly creates some conflict to me when I try to think of how it works. It seems as if it is a sub-power related to nature, yet Rainbow hasn't bothered to flesh it out unfortunately. I'm not sure how power over trees can have anything special inclusion to it, but something about it gives me a slight wind power vibes.

Power of Laughter - Okay, power of laughter wouldn't seem so... eccentric hadn't it been extremely vague. I'm not sure how can one even be a fairy of such a power without being sadistic. If you’ve read its variations online, then you’d know it branches its abilities into varying torture-like capabilities. Overall, a pretty unusual power to build a fairy on.

Power of Rhythms - This power seems to be able to generate all Musa’s sound abilities, however it seems more limited. Musa’s sound powers allows her for a much broader spectrum of spells and skills, while the power of rhythms has lesser uses to it. I really am not sure why would Rainbow accord such a power, as it feels somewhat upsetting they don’t even care to give their minor fairies that we know nothing about a little recognition in their powers.

Power of Firelight - To be frantic, this power isn’t as weird as the others on this list, but it seems unorthodox given its name. We know Stella has light-based powers even though she dubs herself as the fairy of the sun, and ironically enough this power is given to Nova, Stella’s friend back in season 3. Nova seems to possess light powers the same way as Stella, but it could always be different given her power’s name. It’s a bit mind-boggling what this power could offer in terms of newness, taking into consideration it feels like a filler.

At the end of this analysis, I had to stop half-way and think of the pixies and heir extremely unusual powers, and wondered if I should do a separate post for them as well. I came into the conclusion that most (if not all) the pixies have their personalities molded to fit their unique powers, so it all balances each other at the end.

What do ya’ll think about my list? Do you think they’re pretty normal given the Winxieverse and its bizarre standards?

I realized that the trix never questioned valtor how did he come back (assuming the trix know the winx "killed" him off) in season 8?

That’s completely fine. Of course you can use the word killed, it’s the correct word.

And that’s a very good point…they just kinda…slot back into being his henchmen. Do an evil smile when they get freed, as opposed to going, “Wait, what the hell?! Weren’t you dead?! It was on the news, we rewatched it like seven times with popcorn- wait, nevermind, no we didn’t.’ I think they must have known, since they were freed following his death, and presumably they checked the news. I imagine every time Icy gets freed from prison, she checks the news in case Bloom’s died, with equal amounts hope and dread, because yay, Bloom’s gone, but also that was her job, how dare this other person. So they’d have seen Valtor was dead.

The entire way he comes back is very confusing, honestly. Argen is lumen royalty, so he must be strong, but…that strong? Strong enough to revive Valtor? If he’s that strong, I feel like he should be able to solo the Winx. Also, Bloom should have sensed it. She knew when he was alive last time. Also, if Valtor’s essence is just floating around in the universe, then I’m amazed it didn’t get found by, like, a cult or something first. That’s what I’d expect.

Two ways I have to make Valtor’s return less strange that I’m writing down because I just thought of the second one and I love it:

Bloom can sense him, she’s still been able to sense him since he died, and kept looking for him, but after a long while, she told herself she was traumatised and paranoid, and let it drop. That explains away the dragon flame connection, though, the flame in and of itself makes it odd, because where is Valtor’s dragon flame?? He wants star power now? Which leads me onto the idea I just had…

Valtor is still dead. Super dead, very dead. Hence why Bloom can’t sense him. But he’s still also a powerful figure feared by the whole dimension, and that carries a pre-made fear-factor. So the Valtor trying to steal the light from all the stars is actually Argen, or Obscurum, he might have still changed his name, in a very complicated disguise. It makes a lot more sense. Argen has star, thus light, powers, so illusions are an easy assumption, he wants respect, so how better to get it than by becoming the most feared sorcerer in the universe, and stealing the light from stars would make perfect sense from an evil lumen. Plus, then we’re getting a whole new main villain. He’d probably get figured out by Bloom and Darcy. Bloom cause she can’t sense the flame, Darcy because she knows illusions and that guy is dripping with them. And he gave very, very vague answers to how he came back to life.

What, if, in season 8, instead of the dance battle on Melody…they had to do a rap battle? The Winx vs the Trix, throwing shade on each other in the form of rhythmically talking along to a steady beat. That could have been pretty damn cool. And I’d have loved to see Bloom vs Icy there. Only thing is, no way could Darcy miss out. Throwing shade is her whole thing.

Imagine the specialists are like, their own branch of the military. They kinda are, in the comics, they protect Magix from demons and monsters that come from nightmares, because Magix, as the heart of everything, is very vulnerable to such things. But imagine then that they have authority, legal authority, they can make arrests, and investigate buildings. Also imagine that they have badges. Imagine Riven just flashing his badge at someone like, ‘Red Fountain elite squad. I’ll take it from here.’ And they can show their badges and commandeer vehicles. They just jump onto a bus and are like, ‘Everyone off, we need this vehicle to chase down a criminal!’ Brandon wanted to commandeer a sports car, but there weren’t any around.

Season four, but Roxy is trained in self defence and Krav Maga, so when the wizards show up to kidnap her, she does her own damage and leaves the Winx at a loss for if they should do something and help, or just kinda sit back and let her handle it.
