ive been doing more lineart at last, and put together a small snippet for those interested in what page construction looks like with me ~ during lineart, the first thing i go for is the main areas that i can draw without needing to erase things. then i work in the overlapping parts and details, doing so with different colour on separate layers. then lastly, i cut out anything unneeded and tidy it up~

i posted this wip over on my bsky account, and after filling it up during art fight, i'm gonna try and post wips and musings and whatnot a little more regularly there~ if you're curious about my kind of derp, hop on over <3

Ya'll remember The Pie King? The dude who was the main villain of the episode where Star & co tracked down Moon and found out their piefolk heritage? Yeah. He's getting a son now.

another page coming along. i’ve done 16 of 42 now, which is almost 40%. i’m still loving how it’s turning out, but i’m definitely super excited for the upper rows when i get to work on the faces. gonna be good and finish the middle first though.

i’m still continuously amazed at the sheer amount the detail in this pattern when i step back and take these overall pictures. this is going to look So Cool when it’s completed.

It’s been a minute, but I have finished another page! This is page 15, and its still coming along oh-so-slowly, but it’s looking soooooo nice.

it’s been almost three months since i last finished a page of this stitch. i finished the first page in a week. like. wow, i have not been stitching much at all.

lots more background and clothing on this page. i like the bright red, can’t wait to keep doing more of that. the gold swirly bit was fun too.

page 11 out of 42. over a year and that’s not even a third of the way done. wow. i’m gonna be old and grey by the time this is finished.

did i stay up way too late last night to finish this page? why yes, yes i did. 

i was off all week, so i got a lot of stitching done, and i was soooo close to the end last night i said fuck it and stayed up until almost midnight to finish. worth it~

changed direction a little. instead of going across --because i didn’t want to-- i went up, because i wanted to stitch more of the fun reds. 

i’m still so amazed at how detailed this looks in the pictures. it loses something a little in person, maybe because i’ve been staring at endless little squares close up, but stepping back and seeing it in person...wow. i know i’ve said this before, but this is gonna look fricken amazing when it’s done.

12 out of 42 pages complete. officially at the 28% mark. slow and steady, that’s all i can do here.

another page down! i took a little break on this stitch at the beginning of september. i was getting a touch burned out on it, so i did a small project as a present for a friend and got my stitching mojo back. and now. a sleeve!

13 pages down, 33 to go. so far but progress is progress.
