In 2010 a group of Australian students launched Wear It Purple Day - on the last Friday in August (tomorrow!) Wear It Purple celebrate queerness and raises funds and awareness for issues faced by queer teens.

If your school or work is participating, here’s a couple of purple outfits from queer history to inspire you: US trans activist and drag queen Marsha P. Johnson (source) and Costa Rican-Mexican lesbian singer Chavela Vargas (source). Have a wonderful day! <3
