ok weird question but stick with me because I've been kind of on the fence about it and I have no clue if I'm making a big deal out of something that isn't that serious. maybe I'm just too woke (or not woke enough?)

for context, in the stellanova au, originally felix and calhoun did get married and simply opened up their marriage to include juno. I then decided I didn't like this approach and changed the AU to have felix and calhoun have an ambiguous relationship status at the end of the first movie so that there was no conflict between juno and calhoun during the events of stellanova.

tldr: is julix disrespectful to calhoun. sources are unsure

obviously juno and felix are romantic partners but unlike mitsuya and luckymight, I don't really describe them as "boyfriends" or "husbands" and they've kind of always had this inherent scandalous nature that has kind of made me uncomfortable recently?

however lately I've felt really guilty over this? calhoun already has less character development than the other three and felix is a huge part of it, so cancelling him out feels like. inherently minimizing of her arc in the movie.

technically it's disney's fault for having a large part of her story revolve around her relationship with two men and I certainly have opinions on that but I don't want to be one of those people who diminishes a female character who gets in the way of their gay ships, but I also don't want to feel like my gay ship is inherently "scandalous" and immoral.

I also don't want my criticism of her character arc to sound like it comes from a place of malice or bias. I think the storyline of her learning to trust others could have been better executed than centering it around her relationship with a man and I also happen to ship another character with that man.

am I overreacting in how much thought I'm putting into this? would it be dismissive and disrespectful to calhoun and her character arc to keep her in the stellanova au but not in a relationship with felix? does this matter literally at all

this is such a weird unique case because I don't see a whole lot of discussion of calhoun outside of hero's cuties and her backstory and her being attractive. any thoughts would be appreciated

How marysue (powerful and relevant to the plot and involved with the wir cast) can we make our stellarnova OCs?

Any boundries in character interactions, besides not being creepy/parasocial towards Juno?

ooh interesting question! I'm a big believer in oc creative freedom so honestly go crazy! if you do consider yourself a follower of lore rules though here are the only ones I can think of

1. millennia, juno, and maybelle are the only angels (humanoids with wing ears) but similar to genshin impact, other kinds of humanoids exist as well (taro has cat ears and a tail, etc) so you can get creative! the angels are also generally the top of the power scale!

2. they can absolutely interact with the main cast!!! all the stellar guardians are present in SN:SS and therefore have access to litwak's so crossover to your heart's content!

3. as far as interactions with juno, pretty much the only limitation is I'm not comfortable with ship art or genderswapping, pretty much everything else is free game within reason! make them besties make them enemies it's up to you!

side note: if for some reason you're interested in the timeskip where maybelle is an adult that I've posted about a couple times, shipping with her is fine! i personally think she would be wlw but that's just me

4. last rule is I would love to see please tag @stellanova-online !!!!!
