What are Fable’s thoughts on Hilda?
Fable has long since forgiven Hilda for her part in the events of ALBW. Hilda did what she thought she had to do, and Fable understands that.
This means that, while Fable and Hilda are certainly not as close as Legend and Ravio are, Fable does like her and thinks of her as a cynical but trustworthy friend— and maybe even future sister-in-law, since Fable has been shipping Legend and Ravio for a while now :).
Hilda is also telepathic, like Fable, as proven by how she communicates with Legend in ALBW. Fable and Hilda have practiced their telepathy together a little in the few years since their adventures.
In fact, Fable’s rating of international royalty probably goes something like:
+++ Queen Ambi: Regal, kind, and wise— if Fable ever needed advice on ruling, she’d go to Ambi.
++ Ralph: Fable had a bit of a crush on both him and Nayru as a kid. She’s over them now, especially Ralph, but a fair amount of affection still lingers for the guy and his admirable determination.
++ Oren: Fable’s fellow sage, and a kickass woman in her own right. She’s actively working to make the River Zoras stop chucking fireballs at Hylians for fun, which is an arduous task and is very kind of her. Good luck with that, Oren. We believe in you. (She succeeds, at least for a while! They don’t attack Hylians in EoW— but some do in CoH, and they’re all back at it again after the Great Decline).

+ Styla: It’s not that Fable hates Styla or anything, mind you. Fable’s her friend and thinks she’s sweet. They just don’t share any interests, and Styla’s only just starting to learn about topics other than fashion (she has led a very sheltered life), which makes Fable feel like she’s a little uninteresting to talk to— not through any fault of her own, the poor girl.
Fable and Ravio actually have tea parties once a week at Legend’s house! This occurs whether or not Legend is actually there >:). And sometimes, Hilda stops by.
(As an aside, I love how Fable is absolutely surrounded by cynical people. Legend, Maple, Ralph, and Hilda are all sarcastic little bitches to each other when they want to be, and though Fable can fire back if she wants to, she usually prefers to be charming and a little manipulative. Ravio is like the only friend she has who will easily and honestly compliment someone 😆.)
Hilda is also invited to the Grand Hyrulean Tournament that Fable is hosting to celebrate the five-nation treaty they’ve just confirmed. Hilda has already accepted the invitation. She’ll be there!
