Chef Beth Fisher has been cooking up incredible comfort food locally for many years. Together, with her partner Caroline Glawe, they make up the creative team behind the wildly popular Wise Acre Eatery, which has won five “Best Of” awards since opening three years ago. They have a lifelong dedication to homemade, scratch-cooking using the finest and freshest local ingredients, which are derived largely from the farm that owns Wise Acre Eatery. Beth always creates a delicious culinary adventure for her guests. Her ready smile and hearty laugh make Chef Beth Fisher a pleasure to be around, in or out of her kitchen. Beth’s unique Southern twist on classic American cuisine has guests clamoring for a chair at her table.
The Wise Acre Eatery connects guests to the source of their food, a majority which comes from Tangletown Gardens' 100 acre farm in rural Plato, MN. At the farm, Scottish Highland cattle, Berkshire and Large Black hogs, free range chickens, ducks and turkeys live stress-free, hormone-free lives with plenty of room to roam. Fresh produce is grown year-round in the greenhouses and fields, ensuring a steady stream of farm fresh goodness delivered to the kitchen all the time. Employees of the Wise Acre Eatery are sowing the seeds, nurturing plants and tending the animals in the morning, then delivering the harvest to the restaurant’s kitchen in the afternoon. It just doesn’t get any more local than that!
