i love to hate the torchstache but if it was gone i would be devastated i couldn’t hate it anymore. i love hating it too much. the magic would be gone….i’d be beating a dead horse (cruel and unusual) so basically the patient needs torchstache to survive. it encourages ecological competition

gosh i dont even know where to start…comics Are a scary beast but ill tell you honestly that superior was the first character i ever read the entirety of. so it’s absolutely doable for a newbie because i basically was one.

disclaimer 1- superior spider-man was a 2013 story written predominantly by a smug guy who thought he was King Nerd in the age of WASP Cishet Male Nerds Thinking They Culturally Rule The World. there is, i shit you not, a literal cameo of the characters of the big bang theory. i just want you to know what you would be getting into.

disclaimer 2- im sleeeppyyyy so this is not well thought out but superior fannery (and spreading it) must persevere. i can 1000% discuss this more any time. just go ahead and ask. i just wanna get my thoughts out there

id say in terms of reading comics earlier than superior’s, you’re actually really really lucky. id only really point to certain pages of like 3 issues. (really just The Amazing Spider-Man #698-700 and Avenging Spider-Man #15.1 though. yes that was a decimal, comics Get Weird) this is because a LOT of characters in superior spider-man are new, as he was kind of a vehicle for the writer to go all scorched earth burnt bridges with a lot of the established (and beloved) spidey canon. superior is NOTORIOUS for being controversial if not largely outright disliked. he makes choices that are morally grey and isn’t always punished for them… until you realize he’s piloting the body of one of the most famous superheroes to ever be published, and he isn’t exactly around anymore…

i’m not sure how much you know about comics, but if you want to THOROUGHLY read every superior spider-man appearance, here’s a list to start: league of comic geeks . a website called comic book reading order is also great but it is INTENSELY informative

somebody get scott summers a tactile rubik’s cube immediately!!!!!!realized he is functionally colorblind and missing out on Speedcubing. he’d spend ages improving & competing with hank, or if we’re going time-displaced, the entirety of the champions would have so much fun nerding out over what the best rubik’s cube algorithms are!!
