Episode 2 of Maebashi Witches was another absolute banger. Our lead is bit hyper even for my taste, but i havent had any trouble following her train of thought so we're always on the same page.

The show is doing a great job making me hate Azu and i love it. There is still a chance they could fumble dealing with Fatness but i have faith if they makers are who i think they are.

Personally i think the models real wish is to be respected more. i've seen a video of a plus sized fashion mall in east asia and the store names there could be quite dehumanizing or demeaning. Thats not to say thats the homogenous experience but assuming the problem runs deep i can certainly see how a plus sized model would struggle with many dilemmas. Maybe even one of "should i just lose weight" to the even more drastic "should i get a dangerous weight loss surgery" and i have no doubt that these writers would go there.

There is also the potential for there to be issues with the "Make oppressor into the oppressed as a learning tool" trope. But currently as a fat person, i don't have any icks. But ill do more research and ask an expert.
