I've been a biiit art blocked lately (aka depressed), or just felt shitty about my art in general (aka haven't touched a pencil) so I thought it would be a nice little exercise to draw characters I don't draw often. I also gave myself a time limit so I tried to draw fast with these I didn't spend more time than 5-10 minutes on each. It depends on the drawing how much time I spent on it tbh.

I like all of these characters a lot... This page was a labor of love

It's happening again. It's getting closer and closer to rent time and I've got more bills than money. I'm being sued again. Left right and center. And the only thing I can tell people is I don't have any money

Guess what they're starting to do?

Eat into my unemployment

Meaning I'm getting less and less and fucking less

I haven't paid my phone bill

I haven't paid my electricity

I'm trapped like a rat in my house

I'm down to eating one meal and one small snack a day and I'm fucking STILL not gonna make rent

I've been trying so hard to sell my books instead of begging. But even though someone blazed my post, and even though I've had people talking, and even though people have been having fun in relation to my universe, and even though I'm getting more consistent doing my streams, I've sold two books.

I have to ask for immediate assistance again. I absolutely cannot afford to pay my rent the way things are going. Everything is maxed out. I've tried and tried and tried to do this by actually selling books

It's not fucking working. Almost nobody is interested. I have to beg for yall to support me again or I'm fucked.

cried today cuz there are like so little transfem books. like i found list of like 10 trans scifi/fantasy books and none of them was transfem. then found a different list but there was like twice as many transmasc books and out of the transfem ones all were set in contemporary america, place i dont relate to at all

I will write my novel with my awesome transfem protagonist someday, maybe, hopefully. This motivates me a little bit to do it. Transfems deserve more books with protagonists like them :]

I usually try to be tolerant of anachronisms in books, particularly ye olde medieval generic swords and sorcery type books, but I think I broke the sound barrier with how quickly I just shot out of my immersion in this book when ye olde ancient archivist in the ye olde fantasy-england castle's library tells the protag where to find a certain book by giving him its dewey decimal number.

Today in an arthurian retelling set in pre-saxon britain I encountered a character who said he was going to quit drinking "cold turkey," which I think puts him roughly a thousand years prior to European awareness of the existence of turkeys, and the dissonance had barely registered in my mind before I remembered the medieval lending library run on the dewey decimal system and decided a chronologically misplaced poultry idiom wasn't worth noticing in comparison.
