There had never really been much magic in the world Jessica originated in. After all, old historical tomes had dubbed her realm as the “World without magic.” After her mother died giving birth to her and thereby giving her, her power, Jessica was raised for a short time by her father. Before she stole his magic too.
It only took 3 years, before she had claimed all of the magic and items that existed in this world. But it wasn’t enough. She wanted more. No. She needed more power. Most of the items themselves were just relics, that held power but didn’t contain any. And without magic being common in this world anymore, she began looking elsewhere.
Odd. If her parents were magical beings and yet there wasn’t much magic within this realm, she posited that they must have come from somewhere else. It took time. Money. Manipulation. Charm. Seduction and the occasional tortured soul before she found the information that she had been searching for.
Her realm was just one of many. There were literally hundreds upon thousands out there. And all were accessible through magic and the use of portals. It wasn’t until she was in her twenties that she managed to learn the magic needed to open the portal. And even then, it had been the wrong one.
Jessica stepped through the portal six months later. To the realm that her parents had come from. The land that was filled with magic. As she let the portal shut and her feet touched the ground, she could feel it. The air was literally charged with it.
With her eyes shut and her face raised to the sky, she let out a soft moan. Finally. Opening her eyes and walking down the hill, she waved a hand in front of her face changing her appearance so she didn’t look so much like her parents. Her eyes remained the same but her hair became vibrant red.
Tucking the spell book that she had brought with her back into the bag she had brought along, she didn’t really know where she was headed. Her feet pulling her in the direction of the most power of their own accord. By god was she hungry, bloodthirsty and horny by all this power. A smile appeared on her face.
Oh she couldn’t wait to begin. This was going to be fun.
Tilting her head to the side as she stopped walking suddenly, her eyes narrowed as she looked around. Trying to determine where that feeling of power was coming from. Bingo.
The man in the shadows over there.
