So can we talk about being an exhausted witch who is parenting a witchling?
I find myself stuck in a rut quite consistently because of the demands of life. I’m a mother, a salaried manager at an Adventure Park (so working full time to make ends meet), and soon I will be a student again. Even when I have time to practice my Craft, I’m too depleted to even attempt to ground, just the thought of lighting a candle sounds spiritually taxing. I’ve been a practicing witch for 12 years now, but since the beginning of 2020 all motivation has flown out the window.
So, for those of us witchy parents; I realize there are a million ways to practice small during the day. There are posts about this everywhere…But I’m not looking for ‘daily things you can do to practice’ I’m looking for advice on motivation. Between loads of laundry, doctors appointments, meetings at work, 10 hour shifts, and daycare pick ups/drop offs, I don’t know how to find the motivation to perform any sort of spell/blessings/meditation/rite; even when I have time.
Also I find myself trying to find ways to implement the craft into my parenting and with my child. Teaching him, guiding him, and giving him the tools he needs to live in this world without an Abrahamic upbringing like myself.
Advice would be appreciated, from one tired witch parent to another…
