Hey friends! Does anyone have any rituals that they like to do on 12/12? I know today is big manifestation energy but I don't exactly know how to do ritual work for today.

Here's what I do know:

12/12 is a lucky day - 12 is a powerful number - there are 12 zodiac signs, 12 months in a year

12 is a completion cycle number

12/12 is a good doorway (portal) open to see what next year has in store

I have a witchy/paranormal question for tumblr: how much of sleep paralysis do you believe is scientifically explainable (your eyes simply opening before your brain has stopped dreaming therefore hallucinating which from my understanding is just a hypothesis rather than a tested fact) and how much is spiritual? I've had sleep paralysis a few times in my life and have seen, heard, and felt some shit. All documented parts of sleep paralysis but... maybe not? Like some of it is just a bit too unexplainable? I personally think that dreams can be spiritual/metaphysical so I think maybe some of my sleep paralysis experiences may have been not completely in my head.

What do y'all think?

Looking for a respectful way to get rid of or use my sage and palo santo sticks.

So during college and fairly recently, I was gifted sage and a few sticks of palo santo.The sage particularly I think was labelled as California Sage, palo santo may have dubious origins. I can't burn things in my household anyway but I feel weird owning them due to cultural appropriation, and throwing them away feels disrespectful. Can anyone provide some insight?

I have a question about spirit guides.

So I never really connected w my spirit guides and finally did so with a guided meditation video.

When I was doing that, a deer appeared before me. But their head kept unfocusing as if it were shifting.

They told me their name would be revealed to me soon, and that I have 3 other guides at the moment that I would be meeting when the time was right.

I then asked what they were here for, and that's when my entire surroundings started unfocusing. I can slightly remember them saying they were here for protection. But then the connection was lost.

Throughout the conversation, I felt at peace and when they spoke, I felt actual chills.

Does this mean anything? Can I trust them?

Hey guys! Sorry to just dip in and get to rambling after not being active in forever (I'm so damn busy I just never really practice, ack) but I was wondering if anyone else on witchblr had this issue.

I'm still a baby witch at the moment (even after having been a witch for years due to simply a lack of expertise), but once I'm more specialized I'd like my focus to be on nature and especially astrology and astronomy--using the stars, planets, especially the moon, the whole nine yards. This is typically referred to as a space witch or cosmic witchcraft, and while that technically works, it just feels... Off to me? Not that there's anything wrong with space or cosmic witchcraft itself, it just doesn't have the specific feel I'm going for.

It's like... To me, those terms have the feeling of being in space, up among the stars and the planets. Purples and pinks and vibrant dust clouds. Meanwhile, what I'm going for is more... Being on earth and very connected to earth, looking up at the night sky. Deep blues and whites and yellows. Looking up and spotting constellations and what planets look like from earth. I'm not sure if that even makes a lick of sense but it's the best way I can describe it?

Is there already a term for this and I'm just not aware of it? If not, I'd really appreciate any suggestions for names!

Confession: I want to get into paganism and witchcraft more. But TBH since I never grew up religious, it's hard for me to stick to any belief system. And I am bothered a bit by the gendered nature of a lot of witchcraft practices despite the nature-forward aspects. I’m vegan (though I don’t push my diet or beliefs onto anyone else. I feel like veganism is a personal choice and you can’t force anyone else to be vegan). I love animals and the environment and try my best to cause as little harm as possible. I’m trying to change to put more positive energy into the world while balancing my own dark stuff.

I wonder how other people think about the stuff with the male-female/father-mother...ness...of a lot of witchcraft teachings, especially non binary people out there. And how do people stick with their practice? 

I’ve read a lot on witchcraft, I have a few spells in the apartment even. But yeah... I don’t even celebrate like...any religious holidays because of my upbringing and it’s hard for me to stick to. I really do appreciate the teachings though... A lot of it seems to be just good natured and I can really get behind that. Just having trouble sticking with it...
