We all know I’m a lazy witch. Of course in a perfect world I would spend every moment planting lavender around my garden, perfecting my tea blends, and staying warm in my cozy cabin by the fire. But in reality I have barely enough time to get in the shower before I start my day. And I don't own a cabin so…. So in reality is that really lazy? Or has capitalism made us all squish out every second out of our day getting stuff done just so we can do in all over tomorrow? Yes. Yes it has. So when I say I’m a lazy witch, maybe I’m just an exhausted witch. Either way, here are my favorite lazy witch hacks for when you are out of time, or just don’t have the energy to put in a full two hour ritual every full moon. 

Visualize your circles around you and forgo placing crystals or items in an actual circle. Magic is metaphorically speaking so just imagining yourself in a big bubble will do just fine. 

Keep your crystals on your windowsill so you don’t have to remember to charge them with the moonlight. 

Every candle is a magic candle. 

A shower anytime makes a great cleansing ritual. 

5 minute meditations for releasing stress works wonders when you’re feeling over it. 

Pull a single tarot card when you have a question that needs guidance. 

Step outside barefoot to ground yourself and just stand in th dirt for a few minutes. 

Leve a portion of your dinner uneaten for ancestors. 

Keep witchy spell notes on your phone. 

Use moon tracking apps so you don’t have to keep checking the moon phase. 

Use white tea light candles for everything because sometimes it really just doesn’t matter. 

Stir things clockwise (coffee, tea, cake mixes) to bring towards you and counterclockwise to let go or release. 

Line your front door with salt for protection. 

Place rose quartz in your room to remind yourself to self-love

Make meals with intention, think about health or happiness next time your microwave your mac and cheese. 

Light a match and blow it out to suck up any bad vibes in a room. 

Wear blue to manifest passing a test or getting a new job. 

Walk outside during a full moon and spend a few minutes recharging under the moon light. 

Spend a few minutes every morning writing down your intentions for manifesting your life and visualizing what you want daily.

Remember that you are a badass witch and don’t forget it.

If I burned myself while making a protection jar, does that something went wrong? Or does it mean I was right to do the spell cause there is someone wishing me ill? Or was it the price to pay to the spirits helping?

Stitchy Witches!!

A question for you: Do you use your stitchcraft in your witchcraft—i.e. Use knitting/crochet/embroidery/etc. as a tool in your craft?

I’m asking because I’m a knitter of over 13 years and dabble in crochet. I’m curious as to if you use your handmade items in your spiritual practice?

It’s always mentioned that knitting/crochet are very meditative crafts, but do you use them for any other spiritual things?

Personally, I’ve made some nice pouches for my Tarot decks and altar cloths/doilies, but I’m considering branching out to designing wearables around specific intentions (perhaps for ritual-wear? Hmm?). For example, compiling a handful of stitch patterns that emulate each of the elements into a shawl to wear during ritual, or designing a sweater around protection, etc.

Have any of you thought about or played around with this concept? What are your findings? If not, are you considering it now? How will you approach it?

The “Cake” Word

So I got into a semantic argument with both of my partners about spellcraft and it’s required components. I often talk about how you need three things for spellwork: intent, headspace/focus, and passion. They said that headspace and focus are two different things. I agreed and then said that they combine into a singular thing during spellwork. Then they were like, “But in order to talk about them, they’re two separate things.” We went back and forth for a while before I used cake as an analogy, how it is multiple parts that combine into one thing. Then they said that “We’ll you’re talking about cake without the word cake.”

I’ll never be the same. Does anyone have any good ideas for words to use for their combined state?

What is the deal with the obsession over the "divine feminine" and goddesses while leaving whatever masculine counterpart that exists waiting in the wings? I've never seen anything about getting in touch with your divine manhood... all this gender-focused magic stuff makes my nonbinary skin crawl either way, but isn't the focus on only womanhood a bit odd? Or am I noticing something that isn't actually there? Does content about the divine masculine exist and I've just overlooked it? Honestly, I hope that's the case. Thank you for your time

Looking for a respectful way to get rid of or use my sage and palo santo sticks.

So during college and fairly recently, I was gifted sage and a few sticks of palo santo.The sage particularly I think was labelled as California Sage, palo santo may have dubious origins. I can't burn things in my household anyway but I feel weird owning them due to cultural appropriation, and throwing them away feels disrespectful. Can anyone provide some insight?
