Lil one-shot of how Jack was created
Solar was bored out of his mind one day and decided to mess around to see if he could make something living out of inanimate objects. He went to one of the abandoned farms in the village and found a scarecrow without a head. He picked it up, threw it over his shoulder, and headed to go find something to be the head in his little experiment. He walked around for a bit before finding a wild pumpkin growing in the shadows. He picked it up, seeing it was just the right size to be the scarecrow's head he immediately headed back home to he and Moon's lab. Moon was in there working on something when he noticed Solar, the headless scarecrow over his shoulder, and the pumpkin. He looked at Solar confusedly before asking, "What are you doing??" Solar, now at the door to his workshop inside the lab, looked back at Moon, responding in his usual monotone voice, "Boredom." He walked into his workshop and closed the door. Moon looked at the door, still very confused, but shaking it off as he continued working on his project.
Hours later, Sun had come by to talk to Moon about something when a loud crash rang out from Solar's workshop. Sun and Moon rushed over to the door, practically kicking it open as Sun yelled, "Solar!?" Solar was on the ground, slightly dazed and staring at whatever caused the crashing sound. It was… a scarecrow like creature with a pumpkin for a head?? It has rays like Solar's around its head and is sitting in what used to be Solar's work table and looking like a baby kitten in a new place, just not as scared and more curious. Solar looked shocked and amazed. "I… can't believe that actually worked..." "Dude, wtf happened!? And why does that… thing! Look like you, what even is it??" Solar didn't respond and slowly reached a hand out towards the pumpkin creature, trying to get out to come close to him. "Hey… kid?... come here, I'm not gonna hurt you." Sun was starting to panic slightly. "Solar! What the HELL are you doing!? You don't know if it's dangerous or not!-" Moon hushed his frazzled twin, letting Solar continue trying to calm whatever the pumpkin-scarecrow thing is down. It got closer to Solar, then it started trying to speak. "Sss… Ss…o…laar…" Solar looked surprised it said his name, then he responded calmly, "Hello…" Sun and Moon watched the interaction, and Sun was still concerned while Moon was more interested. Sun decided to trust the strange creature for now and made a suggestion to Solar in a nervous voice. "Solar?… You should give it a name…" Solar thought about it for a moment before giving the creature a name. "I'll name him… Jack'O-Moon..."
