I think I read the whole thing in six hours or so. I've forgotten how easy Brooks is to read. The story just kind of petered off. The build-up in the previous two books set up huge expectations for the finale, but it was rather anticlimactic for me. And I still find some characters a lot more compelling than others (I was sorely tempted to skip things). In an effort to avoid spoilers, I'll be vague. Inexplicably neat resolutions for most outcomes, and not enough for others. And certain deaths make me wonder why the characters were developed in the first place. Equally disappointed about the resolution for the High Druid series, since that one was one of my favorite arcs. Still, can't deny Terry Brooks' world-building. Probably going to read the next one, and the next one after that.
