Poseidon Thalassios

“Belonging to the Sea” or “Protector of Marine Life” — θαλάσσιος ; this epithet calls to Poseidon’s connection and association with marine life. As ruler and king of the seas he automatically holds a position over the safe guarding of all who call the ocean their home. He is known as ‘the father’ so in a way those who live and thrive within his domain are like his children, thus are under his protection.
