Hey everyone, sorry for being a day late on revealing the collection, here you go!
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Thank you to everyone who participated, happy reading!
Hi everybody, thank you for your patience! This is my first time running or participating in a gift exchange through AO3 and I wanted to make sure I had the signup form set up properly (and all this was after an evening of knitting my taxes negotiating with the grocery store after they lost at least four bags out of our click & collect order). Anyway here we go. I have extended the schedule a bit because of how late I posted the signup form and I will post the schedule in another post.
Signups are now open!!!!
Here is the signup form.
You will need to make three different requests and you can make up to five requests. One (1) of your requests will get filled. They can all be the same genre (eg all fluff, all PWP, whatever) or all different genres, but if they are all the same genre they should each be different from one another - include different characters, different tropes from the tagsets, etc. This is to ensure that when the matching script does its thing, there is a greater chance of it finding someone to match you with based on their offers. Keep in mind that your request contains UP TO three different characters, relationships, and tropes (besides Eskel) that you are hoping to see and the person responding to your request might not fit all of them into their work.
You can put any squicks, triggers, and DNWs in the "details/description" field. I will reblog last year's list of common squicks, triggers, and DNWs for everyone's reference in case you get to this part and think to yourself "uhh, I don't know, I just don't want the usual stuff that everybody doesn't want?" There is a section in the signup form that lets you pick which archive warnings you want or that you want "No archive warnings apply." Remember that "No archive warnings apply" is NOT the same thing as "Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings," in fact they are basically the opposite of each other.
You will need to make three different offers and you can make up to five offers. From your offers you will be assigned to fill one (1) fill. They can all be the same genre or all different genres, but if they are all the same genre they should each be different from one another. This is to ensure that when the matching script does its thing, there is a greater chance of it finding someone to match with you based on their requests. I have set the script to match on one character, one relationship, and one tag even though everyone is required to request and offer three of each. This is also to increase the chances of matching. Keep in mind that the requests and offers each contain UP TO three different characters, relationships, and tropes (besides Eskel) that the requester is hoping to see or the offeror is willing to write, so your fill doesn't have to include everything your requester asked for - so don't stress if you can't fit it all in or one of the things in your assignment is something you just can't write, but do make sure you are giving your requester at least some of the things they asked for!

I don’t know how long the script takes to make the matches and send out the assignments but I assume not more than a couple of days.

Please send me any questions you may have through the ask box. Yes, I would like pinch hitters, but I am not 100% certain how to add pinch hitters to the system yet, I will let you know.
If you can see this, I nominate you to head over to the tag nomination form for Fisstech & Succubi 2022 and nominate some characters, relationships, and tags for this year’s exchange! It would also be fun if you want to sign up to create and receive a work (signups open on March 1) but even if you’re not sure yet if you want to, it would be great if you want to add some tags to the tagset - this will give everybody who does participate lots of great tropes from fluffy to angsty and from family-friendly to decidedly NSFW to use as inspiration. Don’t leave everybody stuck with nothing to work with beyond “a cat bit my finger,” Aiden and Kiyan and Gaetan only have so many teeth. Tag nominations are open until Monday February 28.
Hi everybody, here’s last year’s list of common squicks, triggers, and DNWs that I compiled. There is a “description” box in this year’s signup form (open until Tuesday March 15 2022) where you can list anything that you do NOT want to have featured in your request. This list might help jog your memory about things that you, personally, want to opt out of.
If you request not to have any of these, you don’t have to say WHY you don’t want them. If you request not to have one or more of these, it doesn’t mean that you think that someone who does want them is a bad person, or that you think they are inherently bad or harmful tropes. It also doesn’t mean that anyone else participating in the exchange is barred from using them. It just means you don’t want to read about them in the fic you are receiving as a gift and you don’t owe anyone an explanation why.

An editorial note on these, first - obviously, many of us are coming to fandom to look for and create the kind of representation we aren’t seeing for ourselves in canon, whether that’s as queer people, trans people, people of colour, disabled people, people of faith, etc. But the flip side to this is, people in marginalized groups are not all the same as one another, and sometimes have competing needs with others in the same group as to what is triggering for them and what is not.
