Dia 2 - Mago Ogun em Fireforce
day 1: mustache
"you haven't been shaving for dayss."
"yeah."
"why?", she inclined. raising her left eyebrow. "it's not like you ever mentioned getting a beard."
"i thought i would try."
"with your dad's genes? keep dreaming."
"now you're just being mean." he said, his eyes wandered over his reflection in the mirror. black hair with a green sheen, brown eyes, a brown reddish mustache and a three-day beard stared back. not a patchy part was found.
"spencer- you look like an idiot. i've seen cartoon lumberjacks with straighter beards."
the man sighed, the witch wasn't wrong, it has been just over a week and the beard hairs were more curly than his hair had ever been.
another sigh, he grabed his shirt by the hemps and pulled it over his head. it landed somewhere on the floor. "want to do the honors nia?"
"if you hadn't ask i would have done it in your sleep", the witch answered, already pulling out his shaving supplies.
I'm thinking a bit about how "other" supernatural species fit into the Twilight universe, how the Volturi don't know about them and how they exist in modern society.
Witches + warlocks won the poll, with angels + demons + nephilim (angel-human hybrids) in second place, so those are the ones I'll be focusing on. I'm also adding cambion, demon-human hybrids. The most obvious answer on how they stay under the radar is simple:
They're all incredibly rare, perhaps even more rare then vampires, especially nephilim + cambion.
I imagine all involved have the ability to manipulate humans to an extent, so that makes staying low even easier. Angles and demons are probably fully aware of the existence of vampires and avoid them like a plague (can you blame them???), some witches + warlocks may be aware, if they've had run-ins with them, but most aren't. Because vampires and werewolves don't have this level of power, they're more well known to the human world. Magic acts a bit like a recessive gene, I think, as long as both parents have a little bit of it in their blood, a child can become powerful. Mostly, it comes in the form of a human having one or two random abilities (enter Bella's near prophetic dreams and mental shield here) but a stronger bloodline can allow one to fully ascend into a witch or warlock around the age of sixteen to eighteen (Jane and Alec had strong potential for doing just that but Aro turned them before they fully ascended).
I actually have a witch bloodline already planned, the Ravenswood family.
Y/N in The Gentle Pull of Gravity descends from them on her father's side, as well as a future Y/N in a sequel story. so I'm trying to think of a way to tie in the Divine (angels and nephilim) and the Damned (demons and cambion) as well. Y/N Ravenswood, I think, ran away at a young age (as witches often do, they don't have very happy lives for a while, this little lot) and ended up in a place where she actually met a nephilim and a cambion by chance, had her little adventures, and finally came to Forks.
Random thoughts: the origin of vampires and werewolves potentially come from demons. Both are something of an infectious disease, possibly created by the demon of pestilence just as a "let's see what happens!" sort of thing.
Some witch/warlock bloodlines began as they are descendants of hybrids, be it vampiric, demonic, or angelic (potentially with the Sawn family being a vampiric bloodline???).
I think it's a circus that Ravenswood, nephilim, and cambion met. It's a good way to lay low, make money, and stay safe; different gifted humans, witches, and what-have-you joining up as part of the act. The fortune teller really can see the future, the magician is a warlock, and so on. The circus changes name every so often but one thing remains ever the same: the ringmaster/owner. No one knows who or what he really is but it doesn't matter, he loves his little "family" and keeps them safe.
The cambion is actually very sweet and kind. This species is often killed by angels at very young ages (just as their power starts to appear) to make certain none of them will become an issue as adults, but she was spared. Though powerful, she'd only been helping people with her powers (which was surprising) and, well, this angel was sympathetic to her plight. So he let her live, the cambion running away when her demonic parent came looking for her in order to protect her adopted family, and joined the circus.
Demons collect their demonic offspring and bring them to "the asylum" an orphanage/boarding school where they're trained into perfect little monsters...few come here at all (angels make for skilled hunters) but our cambion potentially has a few half-siblings here.
This angel is possibly the nephilim's father???
Like, maybe he looked at this little girl (just like his child) who's only crime is being born (and how can either of them be blamed for it), and he just...couldn't do it.
What I've been working on for To Pull on the Spider's Silk
A Johnlock AU
Snippet:
"You would need to fully consent to it, of course." Sherlock's baritone from above him dropped ever-so-slightly. God, that voice pulled on strings he didn’t know he had.
"It requires complete–"
"Vulnerability; openness, yeah, I know" John interjected as he swallowed hard and looked back up at Sherlock. Sherlock's mercury eyes were locked onto John's. His entire body was tense, examining John's every minute shift. John did his best not to squirm. It was both parts unnerving and flattering to be so closely examined by this extraordinary man.
He cleared his throat. "Um, yeah," he gestured over to Sherlock's book shelf, "I came across some of the old customs in one of your books."
Sherlock seemed to relax a fraction, his sharp eyes softening. "So you know it requires a level of–"
"Intimacy, yeah," John finished quickly, snapping his eyes back over to the darker haired man. He blushed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I had to goggle what skyclad and the great rite meant, but, yeah, I get the concept."
A small smile flitted around Sherlock's lips. "We wouldn’t need anything that dramatic. However, playing to what we perceive as sacred would be essential. For someone who values physical touch as you do, a simple kiss would suffice."
He hesitated. "Would you consent, John?"
John bit his lip and looked away as he took his time to think. The idea of being caught, charged with unsanctioned use of magick, and locked away somewhere was not an option. Turning himself in before the madness took him and bonded to a strange Handler was tempting but definitely not appealing. John could feel the sharp sting of panic rising. A glance at Sherlock’s face told him that it didn’t escape his notice. Sherlock stepped closer. They were now toe to toe. John felt firm pressure at his elbows, where Sherlock was gently cupping them.
"If you had a true choice. One that wasn’t done by necessity....what would you choose?"
John racing mind immediately stilled as he stared up into Sherlock's intense silvery gaze, feeling achingly exposed.
"You. Always."
Speaking of “soulmates in every universe”, who remembers Freya & Killian from Witches of East End??? I only had them for 2 seasons but man that was something
