I wish my voice was BASS.
Like wake up the dead BARITONE.
I want it to fucking REVERBERATE around my CHEST.
My chest should hum like a car bonnet when I talk. I wanna sound like a THUNDERCLAP.

I genuinely wish women weren’t afraid to fill up space.
I’m not fussed about how men stand sit or walk, but if they’re encroaching my space, asking me to shrink, or get out of their way, I’ve learned not to cave in and make myself uncomfortable to show them unearned respect and distance.
I’m walking? YOU move.
I’m sitting? YOU close your legs.
I’m talking? YOU listen.
Just small things that help me respect myself more.
You’re not being aggressive or dominating by existing.
As my friend, who is much smaller than me, and has helped me stop cringing and ducking and hiding out of everyone’s (including her) way, says all the time:
Stop apologising for existing. You are allowed to exist!
Witches! It is getting hot outside!
Please take care if you’re going to be wearing a lot of black as part of your aesthetic. Don’t get heat stroke.
Consider sun umbrellas, parasols, brimmed hats or caps.
Wear high SPF sunscreen, and remember that aloe vera is great for sunburn, if you are unlucky enough to get burned!
Tea is great! But stick it in the fridge to enjoy later, with a bit of lemon, and honey or sugar. Ice tea is still tea, darling.
Don’t over exert yourself. Carry a bottle or flask of water with you, please.
If you have a pet, please make sure THEIR water bowl or tray is full and accessible!
Have a wonderful day, witches

🪄The book: Witchful Thinking by Celestine Martin
🪄Dates read: Feb. 14-15
🪄Thoughts (no spoilers): This book features a group of hilarious witches (yes this is romance but also fantasy, somewhat similar to the idea of Halloweentown but way better). Even thought this line is not particularly related to the book, I definitely take it to heart now whenever I am asked how I am doing. Fine really does equal feelings not expressed.
This romance was beautiful. Not only did I love the main characters but the supporting characters were also extremely well developed and I would 100% read stories about them as well. I will admit, this type of spicy was not my fav and I found it a bit uncomfortable to read. But the characters and plot itself was great and heartwarming.
🪄 "Tropes"/themes: long-time crush/interest, fantasy with different mythical creatures, small cutesy town, wedding of supporting characters
