Yep. Just realised today because they kept prickling me when I was petting her I thought she was just having trouble jumping because she was a kitten, but now it makes a lot more sense.

And on tumblr we get harassed because we don’t care. “I never did that, so why do you bring up my privilege? I’m a nice person.” If in the time of oppression you remain silent, you choose the side of the oppressor.

Ohmygod. I just cannot. This was exactly my point tbh. No, I'm not more likely an a person of a different colour to get a job, just because I am white. My skills would make me more or less likely to get that job. And if someone did hire me over someone else because I was white/or whatever else and not based on my skills, to be honest they're a dick. But, it's not my issue, I didn't hire me. I applied for a job and did my best. Just like everyone else who applied. Perhaps the interviewer didn't like their attitude, or the way they interacted with the patients (I'm talking about nursing, seeing as that's my chosen career path).

I'm not denying I was born with both matching up, but just because you weren't, or because of whatever differences you have, or whatever minority you are a part of, it doesn't entitle you to belittle anyone else. Nothing gives you the right to belittle anyone else. Minority, or majority. Fucking hell. Are you human? Yes? Great. Good job.

I never said I don't care, but honestly guilt doesn't fucking transfer to me just because I'm white. Just because some white person decides to be an arsehole doesn't immediately make me accountable for their actions because I happen to have the same colour of flesh as them. And I don't see how that makes me a horrible person. If we reverse that, and use it against different races, oh no that's wrong, we can't hold EVERY person of that race accountable, I'm sure they're a very nice individual, you shouldn't generalize, it's wrong. What the fuck. Double-fucking-standards.

I am so mad right now. With tumblrs general attitude. Fucking political correctness, or whatever you want to fucking call this is a thing that can be taken too far, and whoop, look at that, it's been taken way too fucking far. Surprise.

People who expect me to be super dooper nice to people who are a part of a minority (which is something they cannot change about themselves), just because I'm part of a majority, but then want to shit on me for being part of a majority (which by the way, I cannot change either) are fucking hypocrites and need to stay as far away from me as possible because I've had it with their fucking bullshit. Yes shit's gone down in the past, not just from white people, from the human race in general. No the guilt doesn't automatically get handed down to us, and no I am not going to apologise for being the way I am, because I didn't choose it, no one did. No, you have no right to shit on me because of how I am, unless I am a dick to you, then shit all over me by all means. But not because I happen to be a white, cis, female thank you.

also I just reread the oppression comment. Who am I oppressing? I am a good person, thank you. I don't stand around and let people be abused by others in the street. I don't just roll my eyes and walk past someone who is struggling to carry their bags. I don't shove past people to get through doors first, then slam it in their faces. But, because I believe that me being white doesn't mean I'm responsible for the possible actions of my great-great-great-great-whatever makes me a bad person? Cheers for clearing that up for me.

I get where you’re coming from, but I think they’re more annoyed with how people deny their privilege or simply don’t care how it affects other people that annoys them. Tumblr doesn’t hate the whole majorities, just the problematic parts.

I don't care. As far as I've seen, tumblr hates anyone who isn't disadvantaged, and that's just about the worst attitude you can have. Me being white for example doesn't affect anyone else. Or me being cis doesn't affect anyone else, why should I apologise for that? I don't get special treatment for being me. Granted I don't get harassed in the real world for it, but on tumblr, yeah, we do get harassed for it.
