I've been thinking about taking up some version of junk journaling for my witchcraft books (they are neither a book of shadows or a grimoire really).
I'm a pretty methodical note-taker so I always have good notes on the actual casting of the spell - often with anything that happens during/around the time of the ritual, and I photograph all candle work that I do (before, after, and during if there is anything interesting going on). But I haven't found a good system for putting it all together yet - often the photos either stay on my phone or on my computer.
But - with proper folders and props - I could have everything in one spot! Room for photos, room for ingredient lists, a place for detailed notes, and a spot even for recording results.
Right now I'm rolling it around in my head. It would have to be a true junk journal as I worked for That Big Art Store and I saw how much the average person spent on scrapbooking supplies - not for me, thankyouverymuch. I want something authentic, simple, useable, and that will meet my ascetics.
I've been playing around it with it briefly with the new notebook that I just started - we'll see if it ends up working out or not.
