Looking to explore the mystical world of magic but don't know where to start? Look no further than How to Study Magic, the ultimate beginner
I'm currently reading and enjoying "How to Study Magic: A Guide to History, Lore, and Building Your Own Practice" by Sarah Lyons, who also wrote "Revolutionary Witchcraft: A Guide to Magical Activism".
It's not exactly a Witchcraft 101 book, but it's a nice primer on various types of magic which often gets referenced all over the place, but not necessarily explained. For example, I'm learning a lot from the chapters on grimoires and ceremonial magic because while those aren't areas I've had much interest in, I also haven't really had a solid understanding of their history, which has almost certainly hindered my understanding of certain other things I've read.
Plus, learning about the history of other types of magic just seems like good sense? And although I've read Ronald Hutton's "Triumph of the Moon: A History of Modern Pagan Witchcraft" for example, and he mentions different types of magic, the history of things like ceremonial magic were explained with giving a real understanding of what that type of magic *is*.
Anyway, I'm enjoying myself.
Edit: I also really appreciate the mention/discussion of the appropriation of Kabbalah from Judaism.
I am looking for witchy book reccomendations. As I said in one of my previous posts, I am going through a kinda bad moment with my practice, but I want to gain enthusiasm again. Being a witch has been on of the best things in my life and I want to get that back.
I figured a witchy book could help me with gaining this enthusiasm back, and I hope someone out there will give me some book recs.
Last year (or was it two years ago?), I read this book HausMagick by E. Feldmann. It wasn't illuminating in any sense, but I remember it was a great reading. I have this vivid memory of me not putting down the book and just being very entratained, by the light read. I think something along these lines could be good for the position I am in now, but still any kind of reccomendation is welcome.
Collective message...! You've reached a point where you are starting to accept things the way they are, have stopped trying to control things out of your reach. As isolation continues, maybe your resistance has eased slightly and you are starting to view this as an opportunity for growth and personal development. There has been a lot of releasing of toxic energy, whether that be in the forms of your personal life, a person/people, situation or event and you are starting to move away from something that has been having a drastically, unstable input in your life. You need to be careful where you are expending your time and who you are letting inside your energy field. It's lovely to help people and advise people, but you need to ensure that you are not being taken advantage of or having your efforts disrespected. Trust in the universal flow, knowing that things are working behind the scenes in your favour and if it's meant to be, it'll will be. Don't try to force things that aren't coming to you easily, let go of attachment to the desired outcome and swim with the wave of life. The universe has big plans for you, understand you have more worth and value than you could ever imagine. Things might not always appear this way, but that is the law of duality. Everything has its ups and downs and now is time for you to move effortlessly into the up, knowing that you are supported and loved and that the things you seek, also seek you. Do what ignites that spark within your soul, keep your head up, protect yourself and trust. Trust. Trust. Trust. Have a wonderful day people I am offering personal readings by donation, so if you would like one please DM me

Cousins O’Dwyer Series by Nora Roberts (Dark Witch, Shadow Spell, Blood Magick)
From Book 1: With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations—and where her destiny awaits.
Iona arrives in Ireland with nothing but her Nan’s directions, an unfailingly optimistic attitude, and an innate talent with horses. When Iona lands a job at the local stables, she meets the owner, Boyle McGrath. Cowboy, pirate, wild tribal horseman, he’s three of her biggest fantasy weaknesses all in one big, bold package.
Iona realizes that here she can make a home for herself—and live her life as she wants, even if that means falling head over heels for Boyle. But nothing is as it seems. An ancient evil has wound its way around Iona’s family tree and must be defeated. Family and friends will fight with each other and for each other to keep the promise of hope—and love—alive…
