Anyway shoutout to John Williams, amazing composer and probably the one who made the other 50% of "holy shit amazing" soundtracks (Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Superman, and incidentally the original Harry Potter theme and score) who famously worked closely with the first openly transgender woman to be nominated for an Academy Award, Angela Morley. He respected her, and so far as I can see, has never made transphobic remarks.

I don't know shit about purebred cats, dear reader, and frankly think the concept is kind of silly, but I was attempting to describe one to my coworkers yesterday, and the best I could do was "Alan Rickman looking cats," which for some reason only elicited blank stares. Nor did an image search for "Alan Rickman cat" bring up anything useful.

Of course tumblr users, being people of taste, will know exactly what I'm talking about.

"gather ye blossoms while ye may" from a punk busker/street vendor in new orleans, i thiiink in 2005 while i was hitchhiking. i sewed it onto a plaid skirt that i wore frequently throughout my 20s.

"if you lived here, you'd be Home by now" made by me in 2007 & pinned onto my bookbag. i was not "homeless" per se at that time, but my housing & employment situations were still precarious, and i suppose this was my way of romanticizing the instability. i am still the kind of person who cannot leave the house without a backpack full of essentials / just-in-cases.
