i've seen people make these and wanted to make my own!
wake up, then stretch. taking deep breaths and repeating positive affirmations helps!
i'll do a three card draw and make sure to drink lots of water(cause i barely drink any during the day lmao)
red light(what you shouldn't do for the day)
green light(what you should be doing)
yellow light(what you should look out for)
this is my favorite draw currently ^^
i'll journal while i do the draw since it helps me learn the meanings. then i'll make a list of my goals for the day, some affirmations and if i have time i'll find a shadowwork prompt and write about that, but usually i do that before bed.
once i'm finished, i'll water my plants and gather my school stuff
typically i only eat a granola bar for breakfast and i don't drink tea or coffee in the mornings so that's about it! it takes anywhere from 30-45 minutes depending on how tired/slow i am lol

Intuitive Readings take a good amount of energy, which is part of the reason I’ve started using my Moonology Oracle Cards for right now. (Plus, I just love the artwork!) Using the cards still takes a good amount of energy, so I like to have a routine of how I prepare myself to give a batch of readings.
Sometimes this will allow me to give five readings in a row, and sometimes I can only do two, but this routine helps me get in the right head space to give readings for other people. I will say, when I’m just giving myself a daily reading, or even for the week, I won’t typically do this. This routine is mainly for doing readings for other people, like my free and paid readings I give on here; and special readings like for my birthday, a full moon, eclipse, etc.
My Pre-Reading Routine
1. Simple Yoga flow for about 5 min. to get my energy balanced, and my head clear.
Depending on what I’ve done in the day so far, sometimes my energy can get all out of whack. I’m also an Empath, so other people’s emotions, ailments, etc can get attached to me, and I definitely don’t want to be picking up on that during someone’s reading. Doing a little bit a yoga helps me release any negativity and energy that could be weighing down on me.
2. Make myself some Iced Lemon Water.
While doing readings, I don’t like to get distracted by going into the kitchen to get some water when I inevitably get thirsty. For that reason, I just go ahead and get it ready beforehand, and take it with me.
3. Dab a little lavender essential oil on the center of my forehead to help enhance my abilities.
Lavender has quite a few magical properties, mostly relating to sleep, dreams, and intuition. It also helps keep you calm, and stress free. Because of this, I like to use it to enhance my intuitive abilities, and I just really love the smell! haha
4. Go into my tranquil space (could be in my bedroom, sitting alone on my couch, etc), and light a candle or diffuse some peppermint, lavender, and/or frankincense.
Whenever I light the candle or drop the oils in the diffuser, I always like to set an intention for myself to have discernment, and clarity during the readings.
5. Meditate for about 10 - 20 min.
I’m able to meditate without an audio guide, but if there are noises in other rooms, then I like to use hz music on YouTube specifically for intuition. Sometimes I’ll also hold my Amethyst while meditating.
After I meditate, I would go ahead and start the first reading.
Well, that’s how I prepare to give readings. :) Like I said, I only do this when I’m doing readings for other people, or for myself on special occasions.
Would you want to know what my routine is for after I’m done with readings? Like or reblog this to let me know :)
Over on the Any Witch Way Discord, the mods have decided to run Plentiful Earth’s #30DaysMagicalRoots Challenge for the month of April. The challenge is a way to revisit your magical roots, or explore different aspects of magical practice if you’re new to it
Day 9 - Daily Practices
What are some quick & easy practices you can incorporate into your daily life to help you connect with your Craft and your Gods? You can find some ideas here: Ways to Live a More Magical Life and here: 15 Ways to Do Witchcraft Every Day
My morning routine involves a lot of little magical touches that help me get in a positive frame of mind for the day.
1. First thing I do is use the bathroom. As I wash my hands, I do so with the intention of washing away negativity and anxiety. Sometimes I do a little spell with it, but usually I'll save this for when I have a proper wash later on unless I really feel like I need it sooner. (Wash away 'can't', wash away 'must' | Soak up hope, soak up trust | In my time, at my pace | Not to win but run the race.)
2. I go downstairs and feed the chickens. After I let them out, I stay in the garden for a moment. Sometimes I just listen, or look for signs of the season in the surrounding trees, or watch the chickens for a bit. Recently I have been trying grounding, centering, meditation or a yoga pose, I'll probably continue to switch these up as feels right for that day.
3. I put the kettle on and do the first part of my sensory exercises that help me with some of my autism characteristics before making my tea. I stir anticlockwise to draw out negativities and then clockwise to welcome positivities. I stir 3, 5 or 7 times in each direction depending on how in need I am, as odd numbers feel right to me when it comes to magic.
4. As my tea cools, I quietly finish my exercises with some yoga and pilates moves which I find centering.
5. After tea, I wash and dress, then I kneel before my altar and tidy it up (swap over candles, discard used matches, pot up incense ash, return any crystals used overnight to the box to be cleansed by the selenite). I work out what I need for the day, sometimes making up a pouch of crystals, herbs, a sigil and maybe herbs, and/or light a candle or some incense. Sometimes I might cast a spell or draw a rune/card for the day but I haven't found this to be something I can keep up daily (I'm trying instead to draw as part of my moon work twice monthly).
Other little witchy things I do throughout the day include watering my indoor plants with moonwater, stirring intention into meals, talking to my plants and dancing badly to cheesy music while I do the housework! Anything can be witchy if you do it with intention ;)
