Daeron was a man that had a great many regrets. And they kept piling on honestly. Maybe it the drink to numb another set of dreams. He had no idea what they were trying to tell him especially when it was the same thing over and over again. It had been plaguing him for weeks at this point. He looked up at Kiera as she sat across from him.

They were talking about something. He didn't know what caused him to do what he did. He leaned toward her, and pulled back at the last second.

Velaryons must always return to the sea. Jace recalled those very words, spoken by his grandsire as he sank into the icy depths of the ocean's embrace. Arrows decorated him like a pin cushion, and his blood curled up and around him like ribbons as he descended into the dark. Above him he can still hear the rumblings of battle, and watches as the shapes of ships explode into shrapnel. Another shape follows, winged and terrible. Moondancer. Poor Baela. She would mourn Jace longer than she knew him. The sound of muffled screams and exploding ships lessens as the light from the water's surface becomes scarce.

Jace isn't certain why he hasn't succumbed to drowning or blood loss, yet. He determines that he has already died, and that he is now simply a ghost cursed to spend eternity in the sea. Jace supposes there are worse ways to die. Something nudges his side, forcing the prince out of his reverie. In the gloom he can make out the faint shape of a dragon, and instantly recognizes Vermax in the dark. He presses an appreciative hand to the dragon's snout who pushes them up and out of the water. Jace is all but certain he has truly died and is experiencing lunacy in his final moments. At least the gods had been kind enough to allow him to envision his dragon one last time. His grumpy boy.

It is only when they breach the surface of the ocean and Jace violently coughs up seawater that he realizes he's still very much alive. Vermax, clutching his prince in his mouth, uses what remains of his strength to fly off and away from the raging battle. They touch down in a cavern off of the coast. Vermax places Jace down and onto the ground where he crashes to the floor in exhaustion. Together the bonded pair fall asleep beside each other, injured and battleworn, but very much alive. Days had passed since the Gullett, and Jacaerys Velaryon was listed as a casualty of the battle. But rumors had started that an irritable olive-green dragon was now guarding a cave off of the coast. In time these rumors would reach Dragonstone, and with it the hope that Jacaerys might still be alive.

Helaena swept into the main hall of Dragonstone, windswept from her headlong flight from King's Landing and wild eyed.

She didn't know what to expect exactly, Helaena was not a fool, with everything that had happened and the fact that she was not very close with Rhaenyra, sister or not, she didn't expect to be welcomed with open arms.

But with what she had seen, she had to try and warn her elder sister.

When she spotted Naella, the youngest Targaryen princess stopped, swaying slightly, as if standing was difficult.

"Where is Rhaenyra? I must speak to her." There was no time for pleasantries.

"I bring grave news."

breath catches in the back of his throat. he's not sure he's ever felt quite so exposed, even though he's only sat there - shirt off. he'd accidentally spilled a drink down over his shirt & thankfully, rachel had a couple of spares sitting around. lips press together, hands folded on his lap. his cheeks flush, turning a bright shade of pink - the colour spreads further down to the top of his chest. "um - i -" rarely does he feel speechless but somehow rachel has absolutely rendered him without words.

War was powerful, and few things could get his attention. She was daily a good sight since he was brought out from planning a deceptive and destructive attack. "Well, hello.”

It happens in almost slow motion. He notices how she adjusts her body so that she can lean into him, how there is the slightest moment of hesitation as her eyes lock with his. Enough time for him to know what was coming, but hardly enough to react before she's cutting off his sentence with shocking soft lips. His body didn't freeze up like he expected it to, relaxing into the kiss. By the time they parted, he almost felt out of breath.

“That was . . . ” a little lopsided smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, “an effective way to tell me to shut up.”

"not long," blair denied quickly, but that wasn't entirely true. she'd been outside looking in for longer than she would have cared to admit. she loved fashion, and she liked when her clothes looked nice and personalized for her, but she had no artistic talent in that regard what so ever. she could dance, but everything she drew came out looking like a toddler drew it and she had absolutely none of her mother's talent for sewing either. thus, it was pretty safe to say that when she got the opportunity to watch someone who was actually good at sewing and drawing work, that she'd gotten sucked in. "i didn't mean to disturb you. i like that dress, it's beautiful." she was used to doing what she pleased, but she could respect dizzy's craft and her space, so blair lingered outside the threshold of the room. "can i come in?"

"mere!" addison greeted with a bright smile as she approached the other girl. waiting until she slowed down enough to walk next to the other before she continued speaking. "hey! what're you up to after practice today? i was wondering if you'd wanna hang out?" head tilted to the side curiously as she spoke, demeanor still all over bright and happy. "i know there's not much to do around here - but you could come over my place or something ..."
