Diane!!
so many people trying to explain away aziraphale’s actions at the end of good omens season 2… clearly many of you do not have religious guilt that complicates your relationship with queerness
Louis is now so many of the things the Harries who used to hate him wish that Harry was.- what do you mean by this? 👀
Louis is genuine, he's authentic. When you listen to his music or interviews you know you're listening to who he really is. He's not acting. He's not trying to sell you a persona or some nail varnish. He's prepared to show some/any personality to his fans, and he does have a personality. He seems passionate about the music part of his musical career. He really loves connecting with the fans on and off stage. He loves that he has fans all over the world. He doesn't need to copyright a slogan about "kindness" to try and convince people to be kind to each other or to show it to his fans, instead he just seems to carry it through to his career by being nice to people, and makes sure his merch and his ticket prices are reasonable and that he travels to places his fans can see him. He's not obsessed with making millions and having hundreds of houses or going out on yachts or celebrity parties. He was using organic cotton etc before Harry tried to greenwash fans into buying his Pleasing sweaters by using it for just that one. He puts actual time and effort and creativity into his merch and into his staging. You can tell he really enjoys the creative aspect of all of this. He's down to earth and keeps normal friends and normal partners. Any interest he seems to have in politics seems genuine and not corporate. He's never tried to milk a black man's death by cops as a way to find and sell data from his fans. He doesn't use his website and merch and Pleasing to mine and sell data from his fans. He has his own hairline.
Things Tea has said about David.
1998 : David is so willing to give a piece of himself to one person.
2000 : Q“How would you describe David?”A: Brilliant, coy, better with long hair, live, hysterical. I would put him at the top of my list as my best friend.
Who’s smarter, you or David?
A: David. But psychologically I’m smarter, so I can play with his head. I just love getting inside that brain of his. It’s a fun place to knock around.
2000 : He’s very good at gifts, this boy.
2001 : David is a big family man and he loves being a dad.
2001 : “He was an incredible rock for me.” (talking about West’s illness as a child)
2001 : David has a fabulous ass (;-)
2001 : David is weird, there is no doubt. He is a great, great wonderful, lovable, kind, charming, weirdo and at times, I think that he’s bizarre and it would be easier to be with someone that I could figure out more consistently and more easily and the exchange is someone who is constantly surprising me with his kindness and with his charm. I mean, he, like me, doesn’t want to stay put.
2002 : He is a great partner in all respects, and I can truly say that I’m married to a unique person. But most important of all, he is, without any doubt, the most exciting and romantic man I know.” He does help a lot and is very sweet, very loving with West.
2002 : The best thing about marriage is David.
2005 : ‘He’s one of the most articulate, calm, intelligent, inspiring directors.
2007 : “I love his mind, I love his body, I love his humor, I love the way that he fathers.”
2014 : “David gave me the two greatest gifts on the planet,". "I don't know how I could ever hate him. We've always loved each other, and we adore these kids."
2014 : He's a good guy.
Thanks @baesicfangirl for collecting Tea’s press.
I've never wanted to make one of those "If you believe _______ then UNFOLLOW me right now" things, but, boy oh boy, am I salty right now. So if you're one of those people who think it's appropriate to judge historical figures by modern standards with modern morals, particularly in this case, the Founding Fathers, with no respect for their very real contributions in shaping and formulating our country.... ...then that's your right as put forth by the First Amendment, the right to free speech, as written by James Madison and approved by all the other aforementioned Founding Fathers. I just disagree with you mightily.
I tend to think I’m a bad person for thinking a certain way, or doing something someone would look down on me for, but then I remember there are people on this site that believe mass murder, racial supremacy, and authoritarian rule are good things, so I am most definitely not a bad person.
Just because someone is privileged that doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to feel??? Like, that's so much of what is so damaging about our society; that "other people have it worse so therefore you shouldn't be sad" mentality is. SO. DAMAGING. So like I think "famous" people should be allowed to feel sad and hurt by mean and damaging things people say because? they? are? people? Like, isn't that the whole point?! I don't understand when that became less of the point.
