During Fitness Hour, do you have to allocate time for those like Mordecai and Princess Leanne who do not have as strong a grasp on the modern tongue as everyone else in the Order, or do they seem to understand well enough from example and body language?
“Well, good stranger, I did mention some while ago that Prince Reyson started joining my regularly scheduled Fitness Hours some while back, didn’t I? Well, in addition to his spirited participation, the Heron Prince has also been helping me translate for some of the other Laguz in the Order. He speaks the Ancient Language of Tellius as fluently as most others speak the common tongue, which he uses quite frequently to help guide the others through difficult sessions.”
“And I must say that it has been an enriching cultural experience for all those involved. For as hasty as Prince Reyson can get in the thick of things, he is an excellent translator and a first rate ambassador of sorts. Of course clear body language and the like helped to an extent, but being able to communicate to my less fluent comrades through their native tongue has been nothing short of a blessing. With his help, Laguz attendance to Fitness Hour has nearly doubled in the last six months. Oh, and while I cannot claim any sort of fluency in the Ancient Language, I have obtained a bit of an ear for a phrase or two.”
“And speaking of foreign language speakers, Fitness Hour has also seen the likes of Athena, Princess Petra, and a number of Hoshidans as regular attendees. Evidently, my little fitness sessions have garnered a bit of a reputation in the Order for being an inclusive yet intense way to get into good fighting shape. I daresay that when our business with Zenith is all said and done, I shall be returning to Ylisse with quite the cultural experience behind me. No doubt it shall prove useful in the reconstruction and unification efforts Lord Chrom hopes to oversee when he assumes the title of Exalt.”
