Fel sem merül, hogy nem repülhetne el
De a menekülő vásznon a kiégetett lyuk hézagos igazságát kutatva
Minden haragját még egyszer felmutatva
Arcokba tornászva koppan
És míg kiabál a semmi
Seszínűn tát a száj
A szövetkölteményét nem kutatják fekete pupillák
Az orrlukak befogva
Lélegzetet nem véve és vissza sem fojtva
Egy nyikkanásnyi csönd is sok a torokba
Másnap a remény földbe verve
Fehér zajjal gyógyítja a képet
Befoltozva az embertépte szépet.
Waking up with no air, feeling that it escapes from you for no reason. It hurts. My heart beats 1000km per hour and I can't do anything to stop it. I open and close my mouth like a little fish in the shore without water. My lungs seem to vibrate, and I don't even know what that means. Hate you asma.
Without Air || Part 2
Fucking shit. Why did it feel like her head had been squashed by a goddamn semi truck?
Hadley groaned, her voice cracking as she rolled onto her back. She went to rub her eye but was startled when one wrist went along with the other. As she tried to move more, she realized her legs were the same. Blinking, she tried to clear her vision as she twisted her arms against whatever was holding her hands together. From the way it pulled at her skin, she guessed tape. But why..?
"Morning, sleeping beauty," she heard a voice yawn somewhere off to her right.
Hadley blearily looked up, trying to understand what was happening as her brain continued to wake up. "Br'dy?" she mumbled.
"No sweetie," he voice laughed, and she saw the figure appear from around the couch she'd been placed on and sit beside her. As her vision came back to her, she blinked in confusion.
"Adam?" she choked out. The truck...she remembered walking towards the truck with Adam. But then what happened? "Wh't's goin' on?"
Adam didn't reply at first, instead watching her confused face with some strange look of peace. He reached up and gently brushed a lock of messy hair away from her face, causing her to involuntarily flinch away. Something about this wasn't right. Why weren't they at home? Why wasn't he taking her bindings off?
A terrible feeling began to settle in her gut, making her more alert. She eyed the man in front of her carefully. "Adam...I want to go home. Take me home."
Adam's face darkened for a second, but he recovered, his smile growing even more. "We're on our way. We're going to make a new home, you and me. We'll be there in a few days."
It felt like ice had struck her. A...new home? Slowly and surely, she began to understand the full implications of what was saying, of what was happening. She squirmed away, tears threatening to build as the fear gathered in her stomach. Oh God, she had to get out. Did Brody even know where she was? Hell, did she know where she was?
A tear made it down her face before she even realized. "Adam, please...Just take me home. Please..."
Without Air || Part 1
"You tired already, lazy bones?"
Hadley, who had draped herself over the couch with an arm slung over her face, grinned at the familiar voice. She was about to retort before a heavy weight slid on top of her, and she gasped and laughed in the same breath.
"Are you trying to kill your little sister?" she gasped out, twisting her body to shift Brody's weight straight onto the floor, where he laid and pouted.
"Little? You're almost 18, that ain't little," he retorted with his usual shit-eating grin, dodging as she swung her leg at him. "Besides, I've got two, one to spare."
Hadley pursed her lips in an attempt to keep her own smile from growing but failed miserably. "You dick."
The front door swung open and George stumbled through, four dead rabbits in hand. The old man's expression was nothing short of thinking the pair were crazy, but there was a hint of amusement in his gaze. "Well that's some sort of welcome home," he chuckled in his thick southern drawl. "You two get your chores done today?"
"She made me do hers," Brody over-dramatically whined, faking exhaustion. "I don't know how I managed to do it all in time!" Hadley gave a deadpan expression to George in return, who just laughed harder. "Come on you two, we're moving everything to the shed, looks like it's supposed to rain tonight."
The old man trudged towards the back of the house while Hadley got to her feet, extending a hand to help her brother up. He took her hand, nudging her slightly as he stood. "Come on ginger, you've gotta do SOME work today."
Hadley punched him in the arm with a grin. "Shut the hell up."
The front door opened again, and Hadley smiled at the familiar figure. "How'd hunting with the old man go today, Adam?"
Instead of a normal lighthearted comeback like she had expected, Adam's gaze lingered for a long moment on her. Something was wrong. He gave a quick glance to Brody before returning his eyes to her. "Hey, can we talk?"
"You ok, dude?" Brody asked, stepping slightly forward, sharing a confused look with Hadley.
Adam didn't seem to notice until he nodded. "Yeah, just need to talk to her."
Again Brody and Hadley's eyes met, Brody's questioning and concerned while Hadley's returned a look of being just as lost. She shrugged. "I'll meet you outside when we're done," she offered.
Brody apparently seemed a little off, and hesitated for a long moment before nodding. "I'll be right out back, ok?"
Hadley smiled, watching him leave as Adam moved towards the front door, motioning to the handle. "Can we talk outside?"
Hadley had known Adam for years, and yet she still couldn't figure out what would have him so tense. Did something happen on the hunt? Maybe he saw an old friend of hers, dead? Her stomach dropped at the idea, worrying about who it could be.
She followed Adam out towards the group's truck, hoping he would tell her the news soon. The sooner she knew the better. Glancing back towards the house to see if Brody had returned to watch them, she sighed. "Ok, so what did --"
The last thing Hadley remembered was a warm cloth over her face before her vision swam to black.
