I think some people in the fandom are making Occtis have too much self-esteem in their portrayals. The kid's a doormat. If you spilled soup in his lap, he would apologize to YOU. He's not going to have a sassy retort locked and loaded. He's going to apologize for breathing too loud. Did you see Thaisha when he was called "boy" by Julien, she was so sad when he responded to it. She's trying to have him grow a spine and it's just not working.
I know he's the new blorbo and that's fine, have fun. But give him a minute. He'll get there eventually. You should enjoy the patheticness while it lasts. They grow up so fast!
