[diff anon] thank you so much for that post you made about antis and fandom in general. i was really excited after having read the book and the moment i went into the tags to see others reactions i regretted it immediately. it felt like we read 2 different books. while i can def critique a lot of things about acosf overall the message and the journey reminded me why i loved this series so it sucked seeing so much negativity. i wanted to bask in the glow for a bit before dissecting it.
I had no idea what this release would be like, and so far so good? I’ve had one ask so far that took me aback a bit (I haven’t answered it yet) but besides that everything has been okay? Maybe because I’ve spent four years blocking people who annoy me? haha It takes a while to figure out who you feel comfortable interacting with, but it’s totally worth it to avoid the tags.
I definitely saw a lot of things that pissed me off before I started reading the book, but now that I’ve actually read it, I have ZERO idea where those opinions were coming from. And I do *not* care if they vagueblog me, which apparently antis do. I’m just going to counteract the BS with nice things.
This book is probably my second favorite in the series, after acomaf. Just saying. Nesta’s “special journey” was a delight.
