Touch Music has a variety of musicians and yet there is a thing that surprises me a lot about them, i.e. very few of them soundtracked anything despite their intriguing sonic qualities. Hildur Guðnadóttir, for instance, feels like someone who basically did several soundtracks, before she actually ended up composing for some movies. There was something cinematic about her music and I’m not surprised the latter ended up on the label I discussed. She moves within the framework of the publishing house, yet she’s more willing to engage her listeners in a conversation than the majority of her colleagues at Touch Music. Mind you, this is not a slight, this only suggests some prefer to present their stuff and not talk with their listener.

Hildur Guðnadóttir - Leyfdu Ljosinu

來自冰島的創作大提琴樂手Hildur Guðnadóttir，剛剛推出了新作《Leyfdu Ljosinu》。和一般的錄音室作品不同, 這張只有兩個章節的作品採用了現場演奏的形式灌錄，演奏的地點是英國約克大學的音樂研究中心，後期的工序便只運用最基本的混音製作。 和以往一樣，Hildur Guðnadóttir 除了大提琴外，還包辦了電子音效的演奏。第一首作品 Prelude 故名思義只是一段電影感強烈的引子，《Leyfdu Ljosinu》的主菜是長達 35 分鐘的同名 Epic 作品(英文意譯為 Allow the Light)。" Leyfdu Ljosinu" 以 Vocal 和大提琴引入,段段的 Vocal 演化為重重疊疊的 voice sampling，再轉入由電音效營造的靜態音場。大提琴在大約十多分鍾後再次慢慢插入，帶出濃厚的傷感意境，尾段的大提琴漸漸咄咄逼人，音樂在萬馬奔騰般的高潮下曳然而止。和Hildur Guðnadóttir 以往的作品比較，《Leyfdu Ljosinu》整首作品意境深邃，高低轉化連接一氣呵成，擁有強烈的實驗意識，當中求變的野心的確不小。 伸延閱讀: Hildur Guðnadóttir - Mount A Hildur Guðnadóttir - Leyfou Ljosinu
