Hexipuffs are Magical
In case you haven't heard of them, hexipuffs are small hexagons knit on two needles. Technically there’s no reason this idea has to be done in this particular shape, they’re just what sparked the idea in my mind.
What we’re actually making are sachets. The sachets are made with scraps of yarn, and capable of being filled with anything you can think of:
Sigils
Charms
Herbs
Salt
Tea
Wishes
Prayers
You’ll probably want to also fill them with stuffing, but if you want them to remain flat it’s not necessary.
The reason I’ve been toying with making them as hexipuffs, instead of just knitting a cloth and sewing it up is...I suck at sewing. Honestly, it’s bad. The beauty of these is they’re knit tight enough that nothing leaks, and you never need to touch a sewing needle.
They take about 20 min to an hour to make, and are great for when you want to work your intentions into something but have no attention span. (**cough, cough** me.)
But by far my favorite thing about the idea of knitting sachets is the pure endless possibility.
Using the color and type of yarn as correspondence.
Fitting the size and shape to your particular need. If you wanted to get particularly fancy you could even use multiple types of stitching to make a pattern on it. Or even put a sigil on it.
