A bit over nine years ago, I started knitting the Beekeeper’s Quilt by Tiny Owl Knits. I got into the hexipuffs pretty hardcore for the first few dozen, then learned how to knit socks. Progress since then has been, ah, *slow*. I had a grand total of 83 hexipuffs at the end of last year.
This is my oldest WIP by a wide margin. Apparently that fact has finally started bugging my brain enough that at the start of this month, I drew up a tally sheet (hexagon shaped of course) and started knitting. In 15 days I’ve made 28 hexipuffs. Considering I told myself at the start of the year that even 20 more would be nice, I’m pretty happy with how things are going so far.
There’s 80 spaces on my tally sheet, so if I fill the whole thing I’ll be delighted. If I fill it twice (I have star stickers that should fit in the hexagons once I’ve coloured them all in), I’ll be *ecstatic*. Rough maths says I’ll need about 950 hexipuffs to make a blanket big enough to sleep under, so the odds of me finishing it this year are slim, but I’m going to ride the wave of motivation/enthusiasm/hyperfocus as long as it lasts.
