Request: Could you do Witch!Reader x Wizard!Jaehyun? With the twist being that they’re rivals at their school

You frowned at the boiling cauldron. You were exhausted- both mentally and now physically.
"It's not supposed to start boiling yet... it should be simmering," you couldn't hide the irritation you felt. Jaehyun and you were forced to work on your potions class project together. The professor had assigned the most difficult potion to the two of you to create- just your luck.
"We're at hour five of this potion," he pointed at the page, his own irritation showing. You wanted to throw the book at his head, but instead cooled the fire under the cauldron and shoved the book in his face.
"At five hours and 25 minutes... there's two minutes left before this step," you shoved the textbook back, trying to calm down. Jaehyun had been a pain in your neck since you started at your Wizarding University. Between the two of you constantly fighting for top marks, and trying to beat the other in any possible sport, you couldn't stand being around him at all.
Yet today, here you were arguing in the empty potions labs on a Saturday night trying to complete this twelve hour long potions assignment.
"You're the fucking worst," he huffed, glaring at you as you stared at the timer on your desk.
"Fuck. Off."
"You know, I had to cancel on my date this evening to fly broomsticks with the hottest person here for this assignment. You could pretend to be grateful," he grumbled, upping the flame again once his timer started.
"Oh no, you couldn't go on a date," you rolled your eyes, “suck it up. Pretend the fire is a bonfire and that this spoon,” you shoved a wooden spoon into his surprisingly buff arms, “is a marshmallow.”
“Please, like you didn’t have a date tonight either,” he grumbled. This caught you off guard, and you froze in your stance with your wand in your hand. “I see the way you and Yuta look at each other,” he added.
“… he’s my cousin, you freak.”
Jaehyun’s face whipped around in an attempt to hide the red hot blush his face now wore. He couldn’t hide his ears from you, though.
“If the person’s worth it, they’ll go out with you again,” you weren’t sure why you were offering sympathy to Jaehyun, but you did feel bad for his accidental humiliation.
“… thanks,” Jaehyun was quiet before he added, “you could definitely date anyone here if you wanted.”
It was after curfew, the moon illumination the hallways of the Hogwarts building. The summer night air was warm, no coats or cardigans needed. Your bare feet touched the short grass as Jaehyun dragged you out into the garden outside of the school. His other hand held his broomstick, a gift from his mother that was sent through the post. His yellow tie flew in the wind as he ran before you, it was a great contrast to the green one around your neck.
“I don’t think I can do this Jae.” You whisper to him as he stops running, his broomstick by his side. “What do you mean? It’s exciting!” His said, way too loud, causing you to cover his mouth with your hand. “We shouldn’t even be out here.” You warned him. His lips spread into a smile as he saw you look around, cautious of any noise that could potentially be a teacher.
“Are you scared?” He asked as you as you lifted your hand off of his face. Your face flushed pink, the darkness of the night not allowing Jaehyun to see your flushed face. “Don’t be scared! I’ve done this before!” He shouted as he sat on top of the wooden broom. “Jaehyun, shut up.” You said sternly, heavy footsteps from behind you telling you that this wasn’t going to end well.
Later you found yourself in an office, a lecture from one of the teachers filling the room. Jaehyun took all the blame on himself, his house points being taken away but not too many since his charming smile got him out of many situations alike.
Now you watched from the audience as he flew his broom in a game of quidditch, only winning when he saw your bright smile cheering for Gryffindor. Much to the dismay of your house.
