Took a little break this week to paint some furniture.
Which book would you choose to read?
This is the last bookshelf in a set I bought back in '22 when I was just learning to paint. Spreading out the work on these has helped me to see the progress I've made over the years!

Birthday present for Travis! It’s background size and it took a long, long time.
When you have so many books to read that you spread them across the floor and neglect personal hygiene (Karl Waller, AD&D 2e Dungeon Master Guide Rules Supplement The Complete Book of Necromancers by Steve Kurtz, TSR, 1995)
How to entertain a cat and an iguana, and an imp in a cage. (Denis Beauvais cover for Dragon 104, December 1985). I love when wizards have anachronistic items in their workshops (look on the shelf just to the right of the crystal ball).
"The Savant" (from Vince Garcia's article describing a variant scholar character class for clerics or magic-users, Dragon 140, December 1988; no clear artist credit given here or the main contents page)
A wizard's laboratory where unstable chemicals are mixed alongside the sparking wires of 20th century technology (Didier Guiserix cover for Casus Belli 25, April 1985)
