9, 11, 12, 20, 23, 29, 32, 44.
9. How many countries have you been to?
Four. Including the United States. I have also been to Canada, England, and Tanzania.
11. What would you name your daughter if you had one?
In a previous post I said Lyric. Another I might use is Leilah. Whatever I name my children, I will take both the sound and meaning of the name into consideration.
12. What would you name your son if you had one?
Warren Alexander. At least that’s a name I came up with several years back.
20. Have you ever taken karate lessons?
No. I’d like to take kung fu. Specifically shaolin and bagua zhan. However, if given the opportunity, I would take karate.
23. What language, besides your native language, would you like to be fluent in?
Japanese.
29. What’s the name of your favorite restaurant?
Red Lobster. Probably. I really like Chipotle a lot…
32. What would your parents have named you if you were the opposite gender?
Lydia.
44. What’s the last compliment you got?
Well, I got an anon that in it said, “You’re awesome,” however, based on the context it felt like the compliment was given because they felt they were obligated to or something, so maybe I’m weird, but it doesn’t feel the same to me. Before that, I had someone comment on a picture of me and say that I looked pretty in it. Ironically, I didn’t think I looked very good in it.
Life as an INTJ
(or at very least, as me) *finishes Deathly Hallows*
That was nice. hm. Don't feel the life-changing. oh well. *sadface*
*continues about daily life*
*few days later*
*has lengthy night-time conversation with Gabrielle about stuff all over the series*
Wait I think I might care about and like this more than I thought.
I want to read it again.
*a few more days pass*
Oh, I forgot about Pottermore. Might as well try that. *spends way more time than I have on there*
*goes through a good deal of Gabrielle's Harry Potter archive (i'm sorry I'm a creep)* ....
...want...to....read...
*gets back on Pottermore*
*does Mirror of Erised*
....Harrrrry. :(
*CARES VIOLENTLY*
treble-soft-whistle replied to your photoset: Looks like someone’s been stalking my Frodo tag. ...
Ha! I hope you’re not creeped out (!) When I find someone who loves Frodo best and is articulate about it, I just can’t help it. Compulsive Frodo Appreciation Disorder (CFAD)
Nope! It was a joking use of the word stalking. It's not like I recently went through your blog and liked a bunch of your text posts or anything. oh wait...
Same. We're a rare breed. CFAD. I like it...
Continuing Saga of all-nighting Harry Potter
faetroubadour reblogged your post: Well, um, hello, world
Good job. :D
Um, thanks?
To be fair, I didn't start reading until 2 AM.
The plan was to finish the chapter I had started (HAHAHA)* before realizing I really must do all of the homework that was due at midnight.
Because I basically read it all day, too.
At 5:40 AM I got so excited about the coming dawn that I thought I'd attempt to stay up some more and start school. I did until about 8, until I conked out and woke up at 1.
*at first I kept going because I really hoped Harry would either seek out or run into Snape again (the chapter was "Snape's Worst memory"), but would he do that? NO HE WOULD NOT. GRR. (Though in this case I can't blame him, as I can in other infuriated cases.)
Oh, Gabrielle: I still like Harry. Do I get to join another minority club?
Top 5 protagonists?
Oh. OH. Just five?!
1. Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit or Frodo Baggins in LOTR - It's tied. I couldn't choose between the two! They're both wonderful for so many reasons. Tolkien was brilliant. The way he wrote his different characters and races mirrored the way humanity works in people. And... I really cannot find words to say how much I love his protagonists. I could probably fill this list up with just his characters, honestly.
2. Pip in Great Expectations - I loved this story. I strongly believe that Dickens was a master at writing characters who really learn to live better lives. Pip is one of my favorite examples.
3. Edmond Dántes in The Count of Monte Cristo - I love Alexander Dumas! I first started reading him when I was in the 8th grade, I believe. And I've been hooked ever since. Edmond continues to be one of my favorite characters to this day. He is so flawed, but geniune. I like that in a character.
4. Elizabeth Bennett in Pride & Prejudice - Of course. I'm not just saying this because it's the mandatory answer that every female English major should give. I relate to her. A LOT. We're alike in many ways. Even some scenarios and situations in my life have been alarmingly like some in the book.
5. JO MARCH in Little Women - I am her. I always have been, and I suspect I always will be. I was a tomboy for the longest time. I've always been a bit on the dramatic side. I've always been a writer. Until recently I've enjoyed and found it easier to be around guys than girls. And I devour books. I'm a disease to them. They hear I'm coming and they panic. There's no hope for them. They shall be devoured by me. WORDS!!!
Okay. So, yes. Those are my top 5. The order kind of went off a bit. Although Bilbo and Frodo definitely belong at the top. I honestly think Jo should be 2. Elizabeth 3. Edmond 4. And Pip 5.
