I think the etymology of their names could have created a more interesting dynamic, especially in terms of how this detail influences their personalities.
Ogronios is considered a "positive" light month, unlike Dummanios, Cantlos, and Anagantios, which are "negative" dark months, which explains why Ogron was chosen as the leader of the Black Circle. Furthermore, the name Ogronios is said to mean "cold" in Old Irish, which reflects Ogron's cold and cruel nature.
Gantlos, also known as Cantlos, is said to be a month with related musical symbolism. According to Wikipedia, "the name of this month may be related to the Old Irish cetal (song, recitation) or the Welsh cathl (chant, poem, hymn)." This leads me to believe that Gantlos may be familiar with incantation spells like galdr, a tradition of chanting often practiced by Scandinavian occultists during their rituals. While this detail wasn't explored in the series, this connection between Gantlos and music brings his magical vibrations closer to those of Musa, who herself is proficient in incantations. Furthermore, Cantlos is also derived from the Breton keñtel, meaning "liturgical lesson." A liturgist is a specialist in liturgy, that is, the set of rites, ceremonies, and prayers dedicated to a cult. All of this indicates that Gantlos is not only a powerful sorcerer with a great knowledge of magic and spells, but that he is also responsible for enforcing the rules necessary for the proper functioning of the Black Circle cult, which is fitting for his status as second only to Ogron.
Anagan's name comes from Old Dutch and means "to go, to walk," which fits well with his habit of making people walk, such as his flirtations with Flora or his more or less friendly embraces with Timmy, which give him a hypocritically friendly side. However, his name Anagan is also taken from the month of Anagantios, the 4th month of the Celtic year, corresponding roughly to January-February in the Gregorian calendar. Translated, it would mean "where they do not go" (which could refer to the second stop of the Great Wheel / Wheel of the Year), or literally "no." This month is considered inauspicious, but its beginning coincides with the Sabbat of Imbolc. This Sabbat is associated with light, transformation, purification, change, the return of nature, but also hope and healing. Anagan is the calmest of all magicians. Unlike his comrades, who expressed their hatred for the Winx fairies, he seemed to have a soft spot for Flora, which could hide a true romantic attachment. He was the only one to suggest that Ogron surrender, thus revealing his sense of reality and his sentimental side. Anagan thus embodies the duality between light and dark, good and evil, pride and reason, which characterize human nature.
Finally, Duman's name has several meanings outside of the animated context. First, his name could come from the word "demon," which refers to evil supernatural beings present in many legends, religions, and folklore. Furthermore, Du (Kazakh) means "noise"; the Arabic word mann translates as "man." Furthermore, etymologically, it is the Celtic month of Dummanios that gave him his name. It is the second month of the year, roughly corresponding to November-December in the Gregorian calendar, and translates to "smoke, fumigation, vapor." Furthermore, duman means "smoke" in Turkish. This month also had sacrificial symbolism characterized by "soul/spirit, life force." The name Duman signifies pleasure, feasts, and celebrations. Duman is thus the most troublemaker, and cheeky of the Black Circle. However, he is also devoted and loyal to his brothers, even if he is content to remain in the shadows despite his great potential. For, even if he is not the strongest, he is as cunning as Gantlos. Moreover, he is the most outspoken, talkative and direct, as he clearly expresses his hostility towards the people he hates, even when he takes on their appearance. As the Russian fandompedia explains, it is possible that Ogron, knowing this, specifically cast a spell on him so that he would not interfere with his plan by falsely surrendering. However, even in his delirium, he almost revealed Ogron's plan to Sybil.
