Hey, some writing advice. I'm writing a character who has a traumatic experience that lasted two decades. However, I don't want him being like Ikki from Saint Seiya in the early episodes were due to trauma he wanted to kill his friends and brother. I want the character despite the trauma to still be kind towards his beloved brother but showing signs of trauma without the whole violence aspect. Now the characters I'm talking about are valid it's just the whole violent outburst is overused.
I don’t write (and I’m unfamiliar with Saint Seiya) so idk what advice I could offer, but maybe some of my followers have some advice for you? Good luck with your writing!
I'm in this sticky situation, I found the Instagram account of my favourite actor, Chris Patton. I want to have some kind of conversation with him or talk but I'm way too scared because I feel I'm bothering him and voice actors don't owe their fans anything. However, I'll beat myself up for not trying. Then there's people saying that he's an absolute asshole which feeds my anxiety. I genuinely want to be friends with him but I'm not sure where to start. If anybody has met, please tell me.
It can’t hurt to try, but do remember that actors probably get a lot of messages every day and don’t reply to many people, if at all. :/ Actors probably also aren’t looking to make friends with fans of theirs, that could be crossing professional boundaries, so don’t take it to heart if he doesn’t respond or if he keeps a professional distance.
Still, sending him a DM or replying to a post of his can’t hurt! Just so you can tell him that you admire his work or look up to him or whatever it is you like about him. He may still see it and appreciate it, even if he doesn’t respond back.
