The 37th season of Albany Pro Musica begins Sunday, October 29 at 3pm at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Based on William Kennedy's acclaimed novel, Roscoe is tragic, comic, and poignant. Roscoe Conway, after years as the motor of Albany's political machine, longs to retire. But just when he thought he was out, things pull him back in. Local composer and educator Evan Mack always had Deborah Voigt’s voice in mind when writing his opera Roscoe. She joins the Albany Symphony TOMORROW for the orchestral premiere of the work.

She plays a violin hand chosen by Johannes Brahms and owns two other Baroque instruments cut from the same tree. Rachel Barton Pine plays in our area twice over the next 8 days, at a Friends of Chamber Music Concert on Saturday, 10/1, and with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic the following Saturday, 10/8.
