The Winter Ball

Mercedes selected something a little out of her comfort zone for the ball, deciding she wanted to start the year off right, and challenge herself to be more daring. She chose a gold sequined off the shoulder body con dress, and paired it with strappy (and sparkly) silver stilettos.

Her accessories are gold and silver. Her makeup is full glam. She wanted to look like opulence, and she thinks she's achieved that look.

Her handsome and charming date for the evening is @samevans-wmu.

Rachel decided to bring her love of the theatrics to the ball. She selected a nearly sheer low cut glittery black dress. The floor length dress is held up by two delicate spaghetti straps. For further dramatic effect she wore a long black overcoat which was removed upon arrival.

Her date is the handsome, @brodywcston.

Sam opted for a classic black jacket and slacks for the Winter Ball. He’s not the best when it comes to ties and gave up after unsuccessfully fumbling around with it. He opted to keep a bit of stubble as he likes how it looks. The suit is one he wore before at a past wedding but his black shoes have been with him a few years. He’s actually in need of a new pair which he’ll tackle at some point. He lucked into a nice cologne, so if you catch a sniff of Calvin Klein’s The Timeless Blend, then you found Sam!

Marley selected a floor length pale pink satin gown. The sweetheart neckline dress reveals a little skin on the back and arms, showing off her delicate yet fit features. Her hair was in loose waves and her make up was done by her gorgeous and wild date, @elliottgilbert-wmu.

One a side note, if you look at her ankle, you will notice her sporting a faux tattoo that complements her date’s.

𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐙 ; devil in a red dress.

Santana has opted for a sexy yet elegant satin red dress and Valentino stilettos. As someone who's always ahead of the curve, she's setting the trend of wearing red before Valentine's Day. That way when everyone else does it she can be the one to brag she did it first and better than the rest. She's taken a minimalistic approach to jewelry, sporting only a gold Cartier necklace with the initial "S" and various rings on her index, ring, and pointer fingers. Her date for the evening is the beautiful and quirky Brittany S. Pierce @brittspierce-wmu. Staff has been advised to have the fire department on standby because these two together are a total smoke show.

Event Awards - Task 006

What was your overall rating of the event: (1 - 10)

8/10. Had a wonderful time dancing and conversing with friends

What was your overall rating of the event tasks:

7/10. I felt as though some of the tasks were a bit tedious and difficult to accomplish without taking time away from the ball.

What was your overall rating of the interactive experience: (1 - 10)

8. I won’t lie. I did feel there was some cliquish behavior. However over all I enjoyed spending time with my date and friends.

Did you have a favorite part of the event?:

Besides enjoying the evening with my date and engaging with friends, I truly loved getting ready with Mercedes. She helped me immeasurably.

Did you have a least favorable part?:

I felt the gossip was absurd and wasn’t a fan of some of the memes. They ended up being far too sexual and invasive.

On the scale, how would you rate your partner?: (1 - 10)

10/10. Brody was a wonderful date. He was attentive without smothering and still made time for his friends.

Would you consider your partner in a future event?

Of course. I enjoyed myself immensely

Anything you would have changed?: I would have preferred not to have engaged in heated conversations. It was a dance and I felt it wasn’t the place for arguing. I also wouldn’t have allowed the journalists in the facility. They didn’t contribute anything positive to the experience. Instead they tried to create drama when there was none to be had.

9/10. I had a amazing time with Elliott and my friends

What was your overall rating of the event tasks:

7/10. I thought some of them took more time than I would have liked.

What was your overall rating of the interactive experience: (1 - 10)

9/10 Everyone was amazing! I talked to people I’d never talked to before.

Did you have a favorite part of the event?:

For me it was the dancing and chatting with different people.

Did you have a least favorable part?:

I didn’t like the gossip or the constant daring people to kiss random strangers.

On the scale, how would you rate your partner?: (1 - 10)

10/10. Elliott was the best person to go to the ball with! He’s fun, crazy and the sweetest person I know.

Would you consider your partner in a future event?

Absolutely! He has a standing date if he wants one.

Anything you would have changed?:

I probably would have skipped the after party. It was kinda boring and nothing really happened. I also am not a huge fan of bowling
