Greetings and salutations. I've written and rewritten this introduction at least ten times and ended up deleting each and every version. I wanted something to differentiate myself from the millions of blogs, but then decided the sheer fact that I am Rachel Barbra Berry should be more than enough to set myself a part from the masses. Now that we've gotten introductions out of the way. Again, my name is Rachel Barbra Berry. I am a twenty-one year old college senior majoring in vocal performance and acting. You might already know me from my brief stint as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl and if you don't, shame on you. I gave an absolutely flawless performance. While Broadway will always be my first love I decided to take a break from the Great White Way and return to where it all started - Lima, OH. A few things about me, I enjoy ballet, running (I recently completed my first marathon), and Breakfast at Tiffany's (both the real thing and the movie). Feel free to stop by anytime. I adore speaking with friends and fans alike. Glee Redo Ask Blog.

Mason was working in one of the sound studios when the blackout hit, cutting all of his progress short in one fell swoop. Mason rarely got mad - rarely ever rose his voice or swore, but the string of expletives that came out of him as the realization set in was lengthy. One of his project partners urged him that they had to head to the gymnasium, Mason's head hanging low.
He made his way into the place and let out a huff, his disappointment clear on his face if it could be seen in the light of flashlights. He made his way over to where the blankets sat and grabbed himself one, bundling up and seemingly trying to hide himself amongst the crowd. Something quite difficult to do when you were 6'4. He made his way over to a wall and slid himself down it, allowing himself to sulk.
Rachel was finally feeling better when she spotted what appeared to be a rather upset Mason. The two didn’t know one another all that well., but there were in the New Directions together. After making her way over to him, Rachel slowly lowered herself to the ground next to him. “You seem perturbed,” she stated, more as a matter of fact than anything else,
“Are you upset over being imprisoned or is something else going on? I know we don’t know one another well, but I am more than happy to listen,” she pause and gave his shoulder a bump with hers, “or we could always sing it out. Isn’t that what Glee clubbers do? Break out in song?” She might have been teasing, but she honestly would have preferred singing than sitting around and doing nothing. Less chance of wallowing that way.
I’ve oddly met several new people as well. I suppose that is what happens when an entire University is corralled into one area. Yes, that would be him.
I'm certainly not a fan of the tactics, but it is nice meeting some new people. But wow, I didn't even realize that was the one who practically ran away and then reappeared. He seems nice though. How are you handling being stuck in such close proximity to him? Have you even seen him since we've been held hostage?
Despite what transpired between us, I still believe he is one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. That just makes the situation all the more difficult the bear. I know that sounds ridiculously dramatic, but it’s true. We spoke at length the other day and a little while imprisoned. It’s just hard being around him when there are so many unresolved feelings. I still love him.
By he time Rachel reached the gymnasium, she was both annoyed and inebriated. Not a winning combination for her. She and Cody were having a fantastic time when the lights went out and chaos ensued. If she’d been home she would have had her candles, flashlights and color coded evacuation plan. Unfortunately for her, she’d chosen tonight to drink her troubles away. Once inside, she looked around the thankfully lit room in hopes of finding someone she recognized. Instead, she just saw a sea of strangers. Fabulous.
Feeling her head start to spin and stomach lurch, she found the nearest wall and slowly sat down. After a few deep cleansing and calming breaths, Rachel realized she was no longer alone. Slowly she lifted her head which now felt like a million pounds and groaned softly, “Oh how I wish we were all still in the pitch darkness. My head is killing me. You wouldn’t happen to have Advil, Tylenol or a sledge hammer to put me out of my misery?”
She'd seen Rachel coming in hot though it didn't seem like the Rachel Quinn knew. Instead she seemed unsteady or maybe even sick. It only took a moment to recognize that Rachel might have been a little drunk or at least hung over. Not wanting her friend to struggle more than she should Quinn made a quick stop at the first aid table to grab some advil and a water before making her way over to Berry. Kneeling in front of her she kept her voice quiet as to not make the situation worse. "I've got Advil and some water. No sign of a sledgehammer just yet but I'll keep my eyes open for one. Is there anything else I can get to help you out Rachel?" Reaching out she gave a gentle pat to the other girls shoulder as she held out her other hand that had the water and Advil.
Rachel graciously accepted the medication and water then chuckled softly at Quinn’s remarks. “Thank you for everything, including keep an eye out for that sledgehammer. This throbbing headache is incredibly painful. Not to mention the queasiness. I am not usually one to experience such a reaction to tequila, but perhaps 6 shots should be my limit going forward. That 7th was a doozy,” she added before taking a sip from the plastic bottle. “I see you’ve taken charge of this odd situation. Once the Advil take effect I will be happy to assist. It is the least I can do to repay you for your generosity.”
You know how much I adore music. Would you prepare a playlist for me?
Of course roomie, your wish is my command. After the night you had, I'm sure you could do with a little R&R. How's that hangover treating you, Berry? @stardomiscalling

Send me your name and I will make a playlist out of the letters!
Thank you. Santana. I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into creating my personal playlist. I will listen as I am able to charge my phone. I’m alright. Feeling a tad sluggish but at least the headache and nausea have subsided.

"Rachel, how are you even still alive?" Cody questioned, his head turning to look at Rachel and her drunken demeanour. "Fuck, I thought I could drink. For a small girl, you sure know how to put it back." He dry heaved slightly at the thought of tequila, his memory flash-backing briefly to the numerous rounds they had carried out throughout the course of the night.
He pulled a bottle of water out his back pocket. It was lodged in there firmly for future safety measures. To stop him from being sick. Normally he wouldn't mind it, however, in a room full of other students and faculty members it probably wouldn't be his best act. "Here." His hand extended out to Rachel, offering her the water.
Rachel groaned softly, but took the water nonetheless. The two of them were quite the pair. While Cody hadn’t given her a reason for his binge drinking, she figured it had something to do with that gossip column post. Then again, he could have just been a party boy, but something led her to believe otherwise. Regardless of the reason, she appreciated both his company that night and in that very moment.
“Thank you,” she murmured while unscrewing the top of the water bottle, “While yes, I can normally hold my own, I think I might have pushed the envelope a little too far tonight. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I had a wonderful time, but this aspect, not so much.” She chuckled only to wince in pain. “How are you holding up? You managed to keep up with me until the very end.”

Stacey had seen Rachel the minute she walked in, and much to her surprise hadn't been able to stop her feet from moving. Rach looked panicked and there was something in her that hated it. Carefully, Stacey unwrapped her frog blanket from her shoulders, cradling it to her chest as she watched the other woman sink to the floor. "I don't have that, no.... But I have a blanket if you want to put it over your head for a bit?"
Rachel smiled weakly as she took the blanket from Stacey, “Thank you,” she mumbled while folding the cloth and leaning back against the wall. “I really appreciate your concern,” she added emphatically. while placing the material over her eyes, enjoying the darkness as it surrounded her. With her face covered, Rachel asked, “How are you doing? Engaging new people as instructed?” She paused suddenly struck with an odd notion. “Honestly, if I were a conspiracy theorist, I would be having a field day with this scenario. An unexpected black out, forced relocation and interaction. Sounds like someone engineered this.”

There's been a lot of movements and talk and the kinda of energy you expect outta a room where people were forced to congregate to whenever any kind of unknown emergency situation arises. Sam gets why there are those who aren't handling this too well. It can be scary if you're not used to it. He senses more annoyance from others and can tell in various clusters there's that one who tries to make the best of it. That's him. He's always been a glass half full kind of guy and is in the middle of a random story about an encounter he had with a squirrel last semester. Sam spied Rachel and...she looked green. Sam quickly wrapped his story and jogged over to his friend, his backpack's contents shook around inside. He caught the tail-end of her question and chuckled. He knew of the pub crawl plan and how much Cody's away to put away. Hell, he knew Rachel can knock back quite a few after their bowling and Jack night awhile back . "Here." he said and handed over a bottle. "No on the sledgehammer but I got pain meds and my hoodie if you need something to put over your eyes." He offered and sat down in front of her.
Rachel groaned and gratefully took the bottle of water from her friend. “My hero. Thank you on all accounts,” she croaked while as she closed her eyes and rested the back of her head against the wall. Why had she ingested so much alcohol? She pried one eye open to still one of the reasons sitting in front of her. Not that she could tell him that of course. He was happy with her friend and truth be told that’s all she wanted for him. Happiness. Even if it wasn’t with her. “I would love both the hoodie and pain medicine if possible. I haven’t felt this awful in well, ever. Perhaps my tolerance isn’t as high as I once believed. Maybe I’m just getting old,” she added, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips,”How are you? Are you managing alright? Tonight has been anything but ordinary.”

Josephine had slowly gone from paranoid high to just normal high (with a bit of spice thanks to Puck's stash). The choas of the evening hadn't lighten up a all. Hell, it was probably only going to get worse as everybody was getting more impatient with being crammed in here with no answers. Blue eyes narrow to the other girl, running a hand through her messy locks as she realized maybe someone else here was more of a hot mess right now.
"Heyyy, you good? I might have something in my Mary Poppins bag.Do you wanna take a look?" Jo offered.
Peering up, Rachel eyed the other woman curiously. She’d seen the girl around campus, but they’d never engaged one another. She seemed a little off, but that honestly could have been more on Rachel than anything else. With her guard and inhibitions still down, Rachel offered the woman a small shrug and pried open the bag.
“What exactly do you have in this. what did you call it, Mary Poppins bag?” Rachel asked with a soft laugh, even that causing her to wince in pain. How did she let herself get to this point? She never allows herself to get this inebriated? Suddenly realizing she’d yet to introduce herself, the brunette grimaced, “Sorry. Where are my manners, we’ve not been formally introduced, I’m Rachel and you are?”
Probably not wise to reveal that in such a public forum. Especially given my semi-inebriated state. I’ll tell you when I’m a little more sober and we have some privacy.
I had several rounds of tequila shots. I can laugh about it now that my stomach isn’t residing in throat, but last night I honestly wasn’t sure I was going to survive. I would blame my drinking partner, but I was the one who continued ordering us said shots.
Yes, that is exactly what nyctophobia means. How are you faring now? The sun should be rising soon. Is there anything I can get you? I see breakfast has been served.
11:You can only drink ONE liquid for the rest of your life - what is it?
"I mean water? Hydration is important, kids. But if you mean if I could one liquid for the rest of my life...
I could say my favorite cocktail but I feel like I'd just be in a druken state anytime anye one talked to me. So...apple juice, I guess? " Sebastian shrugged at that, because hey, it seemed like a safe enough answer.
I would have never guessed apple juice. I suppose this speaks to the old adage that one learns something new every day. How are you faring? It’s been quite the night, hasn’t it?
@brittspierce-wmu Purple makes me think of Prince but I can see how it relates to brain stuff too. Right now? Uh, I don’t know is there a color for having a lot of energy but also kind of tired too? Maybe like a kaleidoscope that needs to get shaken up a bit - or is it twisted? Well... maybe it depends on the kind of sick? My cold food slash comfort food is soup so I don’t really get judgement from that. As long as it doesn’t make you feel worse I don’t see the issue.
I love the idea of a kaleidoscope. I wish I would have thought of it to describe my emotions. You seem very attuned to yours. Quite impressive. Not everyone is as self-aware. No, for some reason I enjoy them when I’m ill. I do eat soup as well, but not as frequently. When I want something warm I drink tea with honey and lemon. Especially when I have a sore throat
