My thoughts on the canon fellas? I love their existence even if they never mattered in the movies.
I think they're cool, although I've spotted some inaccuracies? The Blue A380 looking one has two engines while the A380 is a quad-jet like the red and white A380 next to him. The middle image contains a 747 looking plane with dual engines again rather than four. But I won't complain since these guys purely exist in the background.
They've done a neat job on the airliners who are given a little screentime like Tripp and Everett, my beloveds!

Sally and Lightning headcanons because heck if i know i just wrote a few flomone ones and now i need to write more
News about them being together actually came out very late. Lightning is very active on various social media, but only posts about friends, races and pit lane fun with his team, things like that. Lightning is pretty private on social media when it comes to his personal life. Most clips of him and Sally together were actually shared by fucky paparazzi following them around, not by Lightning, Sally or Team McQueen, wich as u may understand was pretty annoying
for some reason i really like to imagine that when they are in the same room with other cars and one of them falls asleep, the other will not leave the room and stay close to the sleeping one.
Lightning always asks if he can "steal" Sally for a second when theyre around other people and he needs her somewhere or needs to talk to her privately. "Can i steal my girlfriend from you for a second" "Can i steal Sal for a minute its really important"
Sally is an explainer and whenever someone is wrong about something or she disagrees she will go "no because" and then explain why the person shes talking to is wrong, but with Lightning she will literally just go "your opinion is wrong" and Lightning will go "ok"
Lightning is always proud to show Sally to his friends like "look at my amazing woman look at her she is gorgeous"
They pick up each others phone calls. Except Sally calls professionally as Lightnings attourney, Lightning picks up Sallys phone like "yo ur speaking with her boyfriend lmao"
The know each others passwords and are each others first followers on social media. Because of his career, Lightning has a lot of social media accounts. Sally only has an Instagram account she barely ever uses but its still has like 20K+ followers because Lightning tags her in everything and always says how awesome she is
Lightning hates mushrooms so Sally has made it her life mission to get him to eat something with mushrooms he will like. Lightning always eats everything except the mushrooms
The both overshare so their silly jokes always end up in very deep conversations
Their arguments are always about small things and never last longer then an hour.
Is there any specific headcanon y'all have for animals in WoC?
Here's mine! I headcanon both kinds exist. And what do I mean by that? That animals like those in our world and those present in WoC as vehicles exist. This is just my personal headcanon btw.
Why tho?
Well -> Cause like this T-rex fella in cars on the road is a vehicle but the dinosaur on Dinoco doesn't look like a vehicular one.
-> And also cause I cannot wrap my head around how some vehicles look
-> for example, take airplanes. They represent birds as well as normal airplanes who aren't "animals", get me? Like shouldn't there be a difference? How come all models didn't become like the smart ones? Yk smth like that.
I wanna throw out a headcanon which relates to my "built aircraft" headcanon. Sooo age. Age for airliners and military aircraft are bit different from the rest.
For airlines, they are kept for 4-5 years at their factories and undergo testing and training. They are also taught along side with general stuff. By the time they are 5, they have their first flight conducted most are ready to fly out to their airlines. Age is calculated on their first flight which happens in their last year before delivery.
Same thing with fighter jets except they take around 6 years.
So for example, my airliner OC, the A321 is 15 years which is very much makes her an adult according to the headcanon. If you calculate her age from the time she was made, she's 19. She is currently dating the F-15 who is 20 years (accordance to her first flight). I just wanted to put this out so the ages aren't taken in the wrong way. I'll be referring to my characters ages according to their first flights to be clear.
Sub-adult age is 4-5 years according to after their first takeoff. Anything after is the ages that are considered to be of an adult.
I'm going to spit out some personal headcanons about them. Few inspired by cetaceans!
I believe that ships with their disadvantage of size and limitations to only being in water, in a hierarchy, they wouldn't be the 'dominating' vehicle. I feel like if there was like a hierarchy, cars would be on the top due to various advantages in terms of size and their build. I mean in WoC movies we've seen cars take up many jobs, and the buildings or the cities are usually to their liking and comfort of living. Anyway, back to ships!
-> First, Evolution and types: I imagine that ever since boats came into existence, they were relied on by other vehicles like cars and such. And that grew onto them and became their sole purpose. I believe they evolved according to the new demands to fulfill their purpose. Various ships developed, such as cargo, passenger, vehicle carrier, warships etc. The only change in them is how technological they are. Like sail-ships becoming ships operating with oil, which is a change they took in to keep up with the demands. Pretty much how oceanliners were quite literally forced to evolve into cruise ships. How do they evolve? Maybe for example changing their build, as we know vehicles can modernise themselves, and those genes being passed onto their offspring.
-> Adaptation & learning: They tend to adapt to changes quickly. They are made to resist all sorts of weather, adapt to new environments, and job changes (Like Langley being turned into an aircraft carrier from collier). In learning part, they have excellent memory and learn basics of anything if thought right. Their analytical skills and reasoning skills are pretty good in most ships.
- Most who are built are raised strictly to be best for their profession.
-> General view: Gentle giants! I love to think of ships being the utmost gentle, atleast most of them hah.
-> Eating habits; Ships can go on without eating for long periods, as long as they are regularly fueled. However they are capable of consuming most foods taken by smaller boats or vehicles which they could possibly enjoy after those long gaps of not eating lol.
-> Sleeping habits: Ships sleep for rather short intervals. Due to their work, they've adapted such habits. Most ships are capable of staying awake for days. Mainly due to the rough conditions at sea and such. In calm seas, i imagine ships taking short naps as the crew onboard monitor them. And with their extensive usage in war, some warships and other ships as well have been able to sleep with half their brain at rest (like dolphins and whales!).
-> Flexibility; ships are surprisingly flexible to a certain extent. Mainly in turning to their sides and their front have section up and down. Although they are quite slow when doing so lol.
-> Reproduction: While ships are built, they are capable of reproduction. How do they do the 'deed'? Well, male whales have quite the interesting member mechanism. The whale can literally control/guide it. So yeah, that concept but with ships lmao (I watched a documentary that's how I know 💀). The female's gestation period lasts 1 year.
-> Sensory organs; their sight and hearing is usually very sharp. Sense of touch is slightly poor due to their huge build and material. Sense of smell is the poorest of all sensory organs of theirs.

Like who heads the company. Is it a certain car which represents the whole company (like maybe an really important car for the company orr).
- What happens when a vehicle retires and don't really have nothing else to do? Maybe like bigger vehicles where they mainly have one purpose only??
- Do manufacturers stop making a certain kind of model when they get make better ones? If so, does that mean a family wouldn't be able to get such a model or smth?

ANS: You should REALLY read this fic by the-king's-tail-fin here but in short, I'd like to believe that the manufactureres just *are*, and there would be one car that oversees the process of releasing newly built cars to the world, and how the factories function etc. Is it a lot of work? yes. Therefore it most likely is a family thing- to better facilitate the teaching and everything... or like a mentor-apprentice thing where the current head of the manufacturer passes on all they know to their successor

ANS: Well this might get a little dark but uh. It depends because if they really don't have a job then ig its just normal retirement? Living out your years in your home, using the funds you've saved up over the course of the years- for smaller vehicles, sure. But for the larger ones with only one purpose, then... old hangars or docks, and they just. wait. wait and waste away. (I hc most of these larger vehicles opt to simply be scrapped at the end of service life - sitting and wasting away seems more painful...)
Do manufacturers stop making a certain kind of model when they get make better ones? If so, does that mean a family wouldn't be able to get such a model or smth?
ANS: Yeah, I mean manufacturers will constantly test and design newer, better models, that's just how it goes. Then when they decide to phase out the older models at their own discretion they just. stop making them. Families would therefore be unable to get such a model, obviously. So they'd go for the newer models - but the model doesn't really *matter* does it? The point is that you want a child for their character, for their precociousness and why does looks have to be a factor?
