Hi, this is Macaw! Welcome to the chaos that is The Isles of Savior, a hybrid amalgamation of all my fandoms in one magical, terrifying, dragon-y mass of character development! All the mini-AU’s masterposts will be linked below, along with some other pieces of information! Have fun, and once again;
SPOILERS FOR THE SHOW!!!! DON'T LOOK IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE WHOLE THING UNLESS U WANT TO BE SAD!!!
Name: Blue-ring (nicknamed Blue)
Tribe(s): SirenWing
Gender: Nonbinary (They/Them)
Orientations: Ceteroromantic, Demisexual
Ship Role: Healer
Notable abilities: Extremely strong Charmspeak, water adaptation, Siren Song
Cause of Death: "Acute ripping off of the face"
Blue-ring was a very skilled medic and charmspeaker who mostly used their abilities to calm patients. Due to how strong it is, however, sometimes they'll charm dragons without even meaning to. This gave them MAJOR imposter syndrome, believing that the only reason they have such a high position is due to their charmspeak and none of their hard work even mattered. Don't get them wrong, Blue-ring LOVED their job; being able to save lives has always been such an amazing opportunity for them. They even had time to become an expert in poetry and prophecy analysis! But their internal struggles also caused them to be a total perfectionist, and mostly cares about everyone else before themselves, leading them to sometimes almost starve, dehydrate, or exhaust themselves. They were placed on The Skeld to ensure the health of the crew, and met Lantana...kind of, Lantana just stared at them and scurried into the vents. That was love at first sight; no one had ignored them and respected their boundaries before! It took some time, but Blue-ring slowly gained Lantana's trust enough to learn about their connection to The Old Faith, get them to show them their patterns, and even sleep in the medbay with them underneath Blue-ring's lamp for Suntime. Then Windchill died. They tried everything to figure out HOW Windchill got their head cut off and possibly if some dragon killed them. They discovered both of the boneless scans just as Ghostberry tore the flesh off of their face and killed them in cold blood.
Meet The Skeld's resident Alchemist, Arcanist, and Gemologist Chia!
Spoilers for the Among Us Series on Paramount Plus!!!!
Name: Chia
Tribe(s): IceWing-RainWing-SirenWing
Gender: Nonbinary (They/Them)
Orientations: Omniromantic, Omnisexual
Ship Role: Gemologist/Arcanist
Notable abilities: Frozen Venom, camoflage
Cause of Death: Impalement of the skull through the eyes
Chia was a very skilled alchemist and arcanist, having an extreme affinity for magically charged gemstones in particular. They worked alongside a young WildWing named Beauty for a long time, until an alchemy accident partially scarred their face, changed the color of their left eye, and they were both fired from their positions. MIRA, however, seeing their obvious potential, hired them instead! Chia was ecstatic; working as an arcanist for the most well-funded Arcane Studies Lab in all of the three continents! They were even chosen as the lead arcanist and gemologist for The Skeld's first long-term mission! On this new ship they met Bhoota, a prickly FrightWing geologist. Chia instantly became attached, much to Bhoota's dismay. Despite Bhoota's reluctance and attempts to push them away, Chia kept trying to make a connection, and ended up snapping during the blackout. They went to fix the electrical system by themselves, but was stabbed in the brain directly through their eyes, dying right as the lights flickered back on.

Introducing The Skeld’s unpaid intern, Ghostberry!
Spoilers for the Paramount Plus Show! You’ve been warned!
Name: Ghostberry Gayrn
Tribe(s): LeafWing-NightWing Shifter Aoryyx
Gender: Nonbinary (They/Them)
Orientations: Ceteroromantic, Omnisexual
Ship Role: intern
Notable abilities: Dragonspeak, shapeshifting
Cause of Death: Camellia poisoning
Ghostberry was a happy-go-lucky dragon from the Poison Jungle hoping to make it big and lift their village out of poverty, who also happens to have an obsession with silkworms and other bugs. Unfortunately, Ghostberry doesn’t really exist. Ghostberry died short after hatching due to being assimilated by Gayrn, a Shifter Aoryyx with a rather odd way of using their abilities. Instead of shapeshifting to fool their victims into thinking other dragons were the killer by shifting into other dragons, they keep one form the entire time, finding joy in making up random aliases and gaining the dragon’s trust, only to kill them in unique, violent ways. They never repeat a killing technique on the same “hunt” as they call them. Being as old as they are, of course they’ve wondered if killing is really the best way to deal with their envy of the species, but they don’t like to think about it much. That strange Wind/Ice animus did make them ponder this question for a while, but they refused to dwell on it. The one time they fully understood the answer to that question, however, was watching how Peacock and Realgar, the two survivors worked together to kill them, setting aside their differences to finish them off, despite their history. Their envy turned into yearning, wishing to understand the way dragons worked, wanting to experience such compassion and care; but it had been too late for Gayrn as toxic camellia paste was spread directly into their mouth, killing them instantly.
Edit: I forgot to mention but their true form has 3 heads! Left one looks mostly LeafWing, right one looks mostly NightWing, and the middle one looks like a mixture of their dragon design and Discord
This post is for everyone but mostly specifically @unstarless; so here is a small list of ideas I have for Lantana
SPOILERS FOR THE SHOW + HEAVY IMPLICATIONS OF RELIGIOUS TRAUMA AND MENTIONS OF CULTS
-They still have the halo that they had in their Old Faith days. To disciples halos can change shape into any weapon they need and enhance any abilities they have. Lantana refuses to wear it, but also doesn't want to get rid of it. Instead they keep it in a bag and never wear it as an actual halo, instead opting for a necklace or bracelet of some kind once they start trying to get over their trauma.
-The reason Blue-ring makes them feel comfortable is because they actually know how to help with PTSD, being a literal doctor and all. They do trust exercises (hand holding, small therapy sessions, talking through the vents) and Blue gives them healthy coping mechanisms like anchoring techniques and breathing, instead of their usual responses like "oh but the bishops are good now get over it".
-Lantana doesn't really like touch unless they trust you; but if they trust you then goddammit they'll cling to you like a sloth. The Skeld crew will very regularly find Lantana curled up in one of Blue-ring's many bags or just sitting on top of their head like a parrot. They're one of the few dragons who have actually seen Lant's patterns in all their colorful glory.
-Lantana's size-shifting is mostly from their own will, which is how they fit into the vents so easily, but it's also tuned into their emotions. Emotions like excitement or anger cause them to grow larger, and fear and panic responses make them shrink. Often times Blue-ring will put them on their counter under a sun-lamp during anxiety attacks so they can relax, and if that doesn't work they'll actively carry them around and it calms Lantana down almost instantly.
-FrightWings can spew gas that causes hallucinations and heavy fear responses from anything that inhales it, and while most dragons either try to run or hide or fight, Lantana starts hallucinating the bishops and goes straight into fawn mode, bowing their head and apologizing for their "heresy" and such. It's extremely painful for everyone to watch, especially Blue-ring.
-Post revival Blue-ring immediately starts learning the surgical practices to repair torn wing membranes to try to help Lantana fly again, and it does partially work; it takes a long time for Lantana to relearn how to fly and they can only do so for short bursts, but it's still something, and Lantana genuinely cried when they flew for the first time in decades.
-Speaking of decades, because of their discipleship Lantana can no longer die of old age. They can still be injured and killed, shown by Ovanull, but they are permanently, physically, nine dragon years old (around 25 in human years). They have the wisdom and life experience of a middle aged dragon, however, which threw a lot of the crew off when this young dragon could recite historic events down to the metal of the blades used in the wars they witnessed.
-They hate how much blood is on their claws. They hate how many innocent dragons they've killed just because they didn't believe in they same things they did. A lot of times they'll have night terrors about it and Blue-ring will comfort them.
Lantana…oh moons where do I start with this poor soul. Lantana was a dragon raised during the days of The Old Faith, eventually chosen as a disciple by Leshy at age 9. Being the child of a patterned RainWing, they were considered beautiful by most dragons, but they often used their discipleship as an excuse not to date any of their admirers. Their discipleship granted them enhanced leafspeak and extremely potent venom, so they quickly became one of Leshy’s favorites, and for a while they were quite content. Until the Woolhaven Genocide started and they started questioning the morality of the bishops, coming to a climax after an ambush left their right wing mangled and they were unable to fly. Leshy insisted they continue their raids anyway, Lantana snapped and berated the LeafWing. Unfortunately this led to them getting exiled, their left eye slashed and blinded, and cursed to change size whenever they had any emotional outbursts. Lantana didn’t see this as a reason to hate themselves, however; instead they used their abilities to become a skilled repair dragon. They hide their patterns out of a mixture of caution and ptsd, but if they’re in a comfortable environment their colorful spots will return. They’re hired by MIRA eventually in exchange for getting their association with The Old Faith off of their record. They take it, but mainly because they feel that something is off about the ship. During the trip, they do manage to bond with the SirenWing healer on board, and maybe they could’ve healed from their cult trauma. Unfortunately, we’ll never know for sure, as Ovanull jabbed them in the neck with their tongue after Lantana realized they were an aoryyx and attacked them.
Introducing the Skeld’s head chef, Yardang of the SandWings!
Spoilers for the Among Us animated series under the cut! You have been warned!
Name: Yardang (Also known as The Dune-Carver)
Tribe(s): SandWing
Gender: Nonbinary (They/Them)
Orientations: Panromantic, Ceterosexual
Ship Role: Chef
Notable abilities: Venomous tail stinger, extremely skilled at claw-to-claw combat
Cause of Death: Drowning + eaten by eels
Yardang was a former outlaw on the outskirts of the SandWing kingdom, being known as The Dune-Carver along with their partner in crime, a Sand/Siren that called himself Striker. Once, during a raid, Striker betrayed them and left them to be captured and imprisoned by the SandWing Royal Guard. MIRA had heard about them and offered them a deal; work for MIRA as an unpaid chef aboard continent crossing missions, or rot forever in prison. Yardang, not being an idiot, took the offer and began their new unpaid community service. On the bright side, they met Brittlegill, a kind and caring MudWing chef who held the same values of anti-monarchy. They constantly requested to be put together on missions, and it all paid off when they both got assigned to work on The Skeld. It was great, of course, until the murders. And once the crew found a boneless scan inside their satchel? It was over for them, having their wings bound and giving a final fuck you to the world in the form of flipping off the boat as they sunk into the black abyss, going unconscious just before the eels started biting off their flesh.
Spoilers under the cut for the show! You've been warned!!!
Name: Orange-tip Ovanull
Tribe(s): SkyWing-SilkWing Viper Aoryyx
Gender: Nonbinary (They/Them)
Orientations: Aroace
Ship Role: DR (Draconic Resources)
Notable Abilities: Flamesilk, weirdly sharp tongue with venom in it for some reason
Cause of Death: Drowning
Orange-tip was a very chipper, excitable dragon ready to help keep the crew of The Skeld safe and in line! ...until, of course, before the mission, they were assimilated by a body-stealing parasite. Now, only Ovanull remains, a young Viper Aoryyx with a fresh, instinctual, intense hatred for all dragonkind. They're own godly creator left them as WORMS instead of giving them the lives they deserved; it was only fair these dragons who lived the lives they wanted so badly paid the price! So they set off to kill the entire group of 9 dragons, and maybe learn a bit or two from this older Shifter Aorryx they met. Besides, what could stop them!? They were in the middle of the goddamn ocean! That's what they thought, until they were caught and thrown offboard with bound wings, quickly realizing the one downside of being on a cargo ship being that they didn't know how to swim...
