Chapter five!
Weewwoo weewoooo this chapter is so cute, bear with me!
Chapter five: Home!
After a long walk through the forest Desert was more than happy to get home. She loved her friends, she loved her home! She bounded back towards her adoptive father’s house. Parrotfish, Stargazer, and her had been in the forest for hours, just talking and laughing and now the sun was going down. She couldn’t wait to be back with her dad, big brother and Parrotfish, and all just be together.
She heard Parrotfish call after her, “Hey, wait up! I’m still saying goodbye to Star!”
Desert laughed playfully, “Hurry up then!” She didn’t slow down, if anything she sped up. Just as she was getting close to the house, that was near the middle of the town, when a rapidly approaching Parrotfish tackled her to the ground. The smaller dragonet let out a happy squeal and kicked the orange dragonet off herself, and then got up and tried to race home again, but Parrotfish grabbed her ankle and dragged her back.
Their wrestling continued until they both struggled through the door, and found themselves right in front of an amused Koi’s talons.
“Wow, just wow, Parrotfish, shouldn’t you be going east on the hatchingday girl?” He teased, affectionation laced in his voice as he spoke.
“Yeah! Come on! It’s almost my hatching day! Go easy on me for once!” Desert joined in, pushing herself up from the floor after the sisters’ tussle.
“Well, it’s not even her birthday yet! And I was going easy!” She declared, as if she was offended, but she was grinning like the rest of them.
“Alright, alright, fine you win.” Koi put his front talons up in mock surrender and then turned to Desert, “Sorry, but you’re on your own, little one.”
Desert gasped in fake outrage, “What? You’d abandon me that easily? Come on! I’m being abandoned by yet another family! The horror! Woe is me!” The albino dragonet feigned hurt, dramatically flopping back onto the cushion that they kept in the main room of the house.
Parrotfish barked a laugh, and then fell back onto the cushion beside Desert, and Koi was not two moments behind her, curling up behind the two adoptive sisters, his tail curling around his siblings. He was about twelve, and Desert couldn’t have imagined a brother better than him. This was the only one she would ever need.
Few words were spoken between them, they were too busy looking ahead at the setting Sun. The sky was painted shades of orange, fading into red, that faded into purple. Through the window they saw the yellow ball creep lower, closer to the horizon, where it would disappear until dawn. When their father, Wyrm, a tired red HiveWing, he joined the group of siblings in their pile of scales and wings. And with a sigh he said, “Cinder would have loved to see you like this.”
The words caught in the air, hanging there for one moment, then another, and another. Cinder had died two years ago, and it had shook them all to their cores. She had died in front of Parrotfish from a mix up with a type of mushroom from the Rainforest. Desert had been out at school, staying later than most to try and catch up with the rest of the class when it happened.
Cinder, their mother SeaWing and SkyWing hybrid mother, had been the one who adopted Desert after Parrotfish found her in the Rainforest only six months before she died.
The wound was old now, and the family was healed, but it still… hurt to remember, especially for Parrotfish. Desert shifted closer to her sister, and wrapped a wing around her, just to be there. She knew how lonely the orange dragonet could feel sometimes. She wanted to make it better.
She decided then she would never, ever, ever, leave this family, no matter what.

Personalities:
- Sun: Bright and fun, but will break down very easily. He has an anxiety problem, but does his best to keep his composure
- Midnight: Chill. Helps calm his brother down when hes having a breakdown
- Eclipse: Rude, cocky, and a bit of a narcissist. He believes hes better than every dragon, except for Bloodmoon
- Snowflake: Rude, but is nice to people he likes. Hes very protective of his tribe, and makes sure his role in it is played wonderfully before anything else
- Bloodmoon: Rowdy, occasionally playful. Also of course likes to kill
- Sunburst: Sweet and caring, but will fight if necessary
- Monsoon: Greedy, but is very sweet and loving towards Sunburst
- Ember: Somewhat nice, but is usually rude. Hes a very sleepy overworked weapons designer
- Stormbringer: Comes off as scary and menacing to many dragons, but is actually just a sweetheart
- Starfruit: A ball of hatred and rage
- Chrysalis: Sweet and loving towards everyone
- Harvest: Very silly and energetic, and incredibly protective of Chrysalis

Upbringings:
- Sun and Midnight were hatched together. Suns mother had found Midnights egg abandoned in their desert. His mother raised the two as siblings in the Sandwing Kingdom
- Eclipse and Bloodmoon hatched with a clutch of Skywing eggs that are kept safely in a nursery, and was heavily guarded. They were both raised in the Skywing Kingdom. And were both also bullied a lot for their differences. Bloodmoon was born with firescales, which made them dangerous to touch or be touched by. While Eclipse was wildly different from the rest of the tribe, being a hybrid between a Nightwing and Skywing
- Snowflake was born into the Icewing royal family, and despite his differences, he was still treated just the same as any regular Icewing in the kingdom
- Sunburst was born into the Rainwing royal family, and was the first in line of succession to the throne of the tribe. They were treated incredibly well, but was urged to stay in the Rainwing kingdom. The Rainwings were having some conflicts with the Seawings, and wanted Sunburst to stay away from them for their own safety
- Monsoon was born into the Seawing royal family, and was always being watched over by one or more guards, no matter where he went, because of the conflict with the Rainwings. He despised this grately
- Starfruit was an abandoned egg, and was found by a Mudwing family, and for a bit was raised with them, until they were murdered as collateral damage in the Rainwing and Seawing conflict
- Chrysalis and Harvest were hatched together on Pantala, and raised together as incredibly close friends, and viewed each other as siblings
- Ember was born in the Mudwing kingdom, but was sold off to the Skywing kingdom due to him being a Mudwing and Skywing hybrid, and the Skywings liked the possibility of his strength

Timeline:
- Sun and Midnight had a pretty decent childhood. Grew up together, did everything together. Midnight got into building things, and Sun took care of the dragons in the kingdom
- Eclipse and Bloodmoon had anger growing against their tribe. The bullying, and constantly being pushed around were pushing them off the edge. Eclipse learned on accident that he was an animus dragon, by wishing that he could play with Bloodmoon without being hurt. And once he did, he was able to touch the, and got to properly interact with them. Being able to hug them and everything, and it made Bloodmoon very happy to be able to have someone like that
- Snowflake liked to explore the outskirts of his kingdom a lot when he wasnt having to help guide the tribe, and came across Eclipse and Bloodmoon one day. Eclipse was ecstatic to meet another nightwing hybrid dragon, and the three became good friends. They later learned that they share the same father, and both decided that they would be there for each other if needed
- Sunburst and Monsoon met on accident one day, neither of them were scared of each other, they were both young and didnt look to be that threatening. Sunburst came over to him and started talking to him, eventually befriending him. And they started to have secret playdates some nights to further continue their friendship
- Eclipse snapped one day, and decided he was done with his tribe, and with his animus magic, killed their queen, the heirs, and took the throne of the Skywing kingdom, with Bloodmoon by his side
- Sunburst had had a feeling that he was an animus for a while, having the ability to control plants was something he learned very quickly that he was capable of doing. When his parents died, he took the throne, and also announced that he and Monsoon were dating. Sunburst also stopped the conflict with the seawings, with the help of Monsoon. And the two tribes later became allies, though Monsoon mainly stayed in the Rainwing kingdom to be with Sunburst
- Eclipse visited Snowflake in the Icewing kingdom, and gave him an opportunity to make an alliance with him, in front of a large majority of the Icewing kingdom. Snowflake turned down the offer, saying that he wouldnt ever want to ally with a tyrant, so Eclipse ordered his Skywing army to take over the Icewing kingdom, and when it was done, enchanted all of the Icewings to follow his orders
- A lot of the kingdoms began to get worried about Eclipse after he had taken over the Icewing kingdom, and began to prepare for any possibility of having to fight him and his army
- Eclipse later began taking over the kingdoms one by one. In order: Sandwing Kingdom, Nightwing Kingdom, Rainwing Kingdom, Mudwing Kingdom, and finally the Seawing Kingdom. He enchanted any survivors of the takeovers, and made sure to enchant the royal families of the tribes
- Sunburst was taken prisoner and brainwashed, but Monsoon got away and fled. Later running into Sun and Midnight. Together, the three began recruiting other escapees for a resistance. Until they get rid of Eclipse, he was in power of the whole continent of Pyrrhia
