I've written up some thoughts on the console versions of Wolcen. The Xbox version seems okay--the PlayStation version is not okay whatsoever.
The opening screenshot on this article is a real PS5 screenshot where most of the elements in a scene didn't load. And there are just wildly obvious visual bugs happening all the time. I wouldn't have let this go out the door on PS4/PS5.
I also wouldn't have shipped a game in 2023 without native support for the current machines.
A mess I tell you, a mess!

I'm happy to have supported this, and happy that the Xbox version very nearly works as well as it should. But this was not at all a good counter programming move to Diablo IV's beta, and will probably be quietly forgotten without some quick fixes.
The Xbox version of Wolcen seems okay, but the lack of a modern gen version means the Series S is running with slightly bland One S level graphics…though it does hit 60FPS.
The PS4 version is a shocking mess and an insult visually on PS5, with random blurring and messy rendering artifacts in reflections and other screen space effects. I want to kill it with fire. It took my enjoyment of the game straight into a hole. I can’t believe it shipped with such obvious issues.
It’s Titan Quest on console all over again!
I do hope Diablo IV doesn’t suck but at least with these Wolcen purchases I didn’t support a company investigated by the government for employee abuses.
